@Maroxad: Why are you only referring to digital?

When consoles have the advantage that physical media offers making it 10x easier to find deals.

Like I said when a new game comes out on disk it's usually on sale within months yet not digitally.

Thousands of stores worldwide beat a dozen or so PC storefronts.

The fact that we PC players can get key deals from the likes of Greenmangaming and Humble Bundle before the game is actually released beats any console physical storefront.

Let me know when you can do that on console.

console retail deals here are pretty good, like I got ff7 rebirth for 55€(80€ on psn), Returnal for 50€ etc. launch/pre-order prices

it's why I wouldn't buy a digital only console as there's no competition for digital pricing at all unlike on pc

Where'd you get those at? We don't have anything like that here in the US unless it's some reward thing you sign up for and typically spend money on to get that membership.

Finland, also saw Rebirth at supermarket for 35€ on clearance sale a month ago, physical deals on consoles way better than digital sales

Let me know when you can do that on console.

Let me know when your PC can borrow a game off a friend and pay nothing, let me know when you can trade your game in on PC, let me know when you can sell your game on PC.

Hermits claim PC is freedom and you your games are stuck and you can't do anything with them once you've finished them.

Trading and seelling games, probably not in the forseeable future as it's not part of any of the Publisher's TOS.

You could previously share games on Steam, but now there is the Steam Family feature which allows up to 6 users to combine all their games together into one super library that can be shared. What console does that?

https://www.gamespot.com/articles/steam-families-is-available-now-lets-you-and-five-people-merge-your-game-libraries-into-one-heres-how/1100-6526453/

Also, I already told you that you can sell games by creating an account, buying the game, and then selling that account.

Which is a shit experience also because of the low frame rate. So there is no winning with that game on a PS5. Got to play it on PC or PS5 Pro for an acceptable experience.

Yeah, Console retail is really good over here in Sweden as well. Digital however is a mess. And is almost always cheaper on PC.

That said, I still like getting my switch games digital even if it is a bit more expensive, works so well with the handheld nature of the switch.

Your boy Phil released an XSX with 2TB, same hardware, $600. This is incrementally more and has way more power and features. Rekt much?

You're going to give Sony near $800 for a console to play less blurry games that are STILL hamstrung by the og PS5, now that's what we call rekting yourself 🤦‍♂️

You are thinking too small. This feature allows 6 users to share all their libraries together across the country. This creates one super library that all users can access. You can share thousands of games. Each user will still have separate saves, achievements, etc.. This is the ultimate game sharing feature.

The way it is price, its just the value isn't there for the Pro without the optical disc drive and no stand for it is a misstep. Now had Sony included the "DuelSense Edge Controller" with the Pro alone, I'd be okay with this. The price would be justify had it include the Edge Controller. If your gonna have the best console upgrade, might as well include the Edge.

I can also confirmed my oldest daughter is sharing my Steam account on the family sharing so she can play some of the games I've bought if she wants to.

As for consoles, I've done it before on Xbox since the kids still love playing Fortnite on my XBL account. I never done family sharing on PlayStation though.

With this new Steam family share, you can essentially share access with your library and another family or friend as well and play each others games; haven't used this since I have no need but yeah...

The option is there for both; albeit done differently

You still aren't getting what the feature actually is. It is not just sharing with another user. It is like a giant potluck. 6 people bring different foods and they all share together in a big feast. Everyone gets to eat the different foods. Same thing with this feature. All 6 users bring their own collection of games and share with the others simultaneously. It is like a never ending feast of games. All 6 accounts are linked in that family group. When one user adds a game to their library, it becomes available for all 6 users. So, you can pool together and build a massive library of games. Everybody is saving money and getting to experience games that they normally wouldn't have access to. This collection of games can be accessed wherever these 6 different users are in the country. That is pretty epic and no console does that.

When I use to have an Xbox in the past I was able to log into my nephews Xbox in his living room and he would have access to my games that were on his Xbox so that's how it use to work for me in the past but this was years ago...

With this new Steam family share, you can essentially share access with your library and another family or friend as well and play each others games; haven't used this since I have no need but yeah...

The option is there for both; albeit done differently

I can't remember but does Steam allow for the same game to be played by two people?

No. You can play any game in a friend/family's library, but not if they are playing that game.

I have added my boys to my account so they can play what they want and I can monitor what they play.

Thanks for the confirmation. I couldn't remember. I do know the sharing on Xbox allows to people to play the game at the same time.

Yep, the same thing I do to my oldest daughter by adding my account as she can play whatever's in my library.

I just wish other client stores would do the same as Steam does.

@loudheadphones: Can it play games and blu ray movies? Then it’s fine.

And the WiFi adapter maybe WiFi 5, but it allows for faster downloads.

So, the PS5 pro is still a grossly overpriced piece of trash. Enjoy.

Oh, now we are "can it play games". It is fine.

There is no "maybe Wi Fi 5, it is. No, XSX has slower download speeds, obviously because Wi Fi 5 is slower.

Yes, XSX is fine. Don't worry, tooolz will save Xbox. Sure, i will buy a Pro.

Well, it can't play your games that are on disk, can it?

And yes, the wifi adapter in the launch XSX is garbage and can only handle 200mbps, the Carbon wifi adapter is better.

Your PS5 Pro can't even really do 60fps...

And still Wi-Fi 5 in the end.

Really? I saw in Pro reveal that they showed how 60fps works in TLOU2, Ratchet etc.

Yeah. Performance mode on Pro will be awesome

Regarding TLOU 2 comparison

Performance mode on PS5 has lower IQ compared to fidelity mode at native 4k/30. Here you can see PSSR at work. Performance mode on PS5Pro has vastly sharper IQ at 60 vs. fidelity mode at native 4/30fps on PS5. Yeah, it's a big upgrade

I'm sure there are some games that, with further optimization, can "get to 60fps". But this console is not going to create a situation like what happened at the beginning of last gen, where one console had a significant (XBone was 720p, PS4 was 1080p) advantage over the other.

You are paying $800 for a very marginal upgrade. And yes, I can laugh at you for it.

Mr. Matty talks PS5 Pro, and it's hilarious.
