PSN+ gives me free stuff

XBL doesn't give me free anything. XBL is miles ahead of PSN but you can't beat free... It's free!

Which would you prefer: A paid service that gives top quality, or a Paid service that gives free quality products?

Me, I'll take them both.

Edit: I know that if it's paid for it's not really free, so I should say that I get huge discount.

This week alone i got 8 and i say again.. 8 full free games thanks to plus :D.

Lems get so butthurt over PSN+. They pay for Live and get nothing in return, MS still forces devs to charge for DLC etc. Cows pay for PSN+ if they want to, and get full games and DLC.

PSN+ is an optional service for those wanting to enjoy the deals that range from free games to discounts and yes its top quality and is going to improve more and more with time... example i always wanted to try Far Cry 2 but i didnt want to buy it for $29 ( its current price last time i checked ). now i just got it for free this week.

I'v already tried PS+ for over a year and trying to help those unsure about it as much as i can.. this week i got freaking 8 games that i never played before.. this has never happened before and according to the blog post from sony its just going to keep getting better and better. im a satisfied customer :oops:

With this logic, playing online on Xbox LIVE is free...once you pay the sub fee.

Thats why PS+ is Optional, your not interested in playing games or avatars or cloud then dont pay and enjoy playing online on PSN without worrying about PS+

Ok, yearly subscription. It's still not free. You cannot play those games without paying.

It doesn't matter if you get them for free once you paid, you still have had to pay something to get them. That's not free no matter how you spin it.

Clearly it's different from the Netflix subscription though. With Netflix you are paying $8 a month for literally JUST movies, just streaming (no downloads) and nothing else.

With PSN+ you get a multitude of things, and the "free" games are just one of them. It would also be possible to get your money's worth on "discounted" (not free) games, some people might sign up just for the cloud saves, you get avatars/themes which you do get to keep, etc. It's also been reported that you do actually get to keep some of the "free" games forever (or at least until your PS3 bites the dust), not all of them have expiration dates

I mean I get what people are saying that the games aren't really free, but I think people that are using PSN+ truly understand that. It's still a bit of a silly counter-argument, because it's obvious what they are really trying to do by playing these semantics.

Do you even get to keep these free games after your subsciption expires?

And xbox live gold gives weekly discounts for certain games in case anyone's forgot.

It's not free if you are paying the subscription, but I have certainly gotten my money's worth from the sbuscription.
