It's not free if you're paying a monthly scubscription.

There is no monthly subscribtion.. either pay $15 i think for 3 months or $49 that lasts for a whole year.. some games you get are yours forever and some are yours for the time you are a plus member, discounts happen every week especially for new games releaed you get to always enjoy 20% discount or at times between 50 to 70% discounts, plus cloud saving ( best to move files from one ps3 to another ), free avatars ( every week ), free themes ( every week ), free games ( every single month from full PS3 games to full PS1 games ).
Ok, yearly subscription. It's still not free. You cannot play those games without paying.
It doesn't matter if you get them for free once you paid, you still have had to pay something to get them. That's not free no matter how you spin it.
Clearly it's different from the Netflix subscription though. With Netflix you are paying $8 a month for literally JUST movies, just streaming (no downloads) and nothing else.
With PSN+ you get a multitude of things, and the "free" games are just one of them. It would also be possible to get your money's worth on "discounted" (not free) games, some people might sign up just for the cloud saves, you get avatars/themes which you do get to keep, etc. It's also been reported that you do actually get to keep some of the "free" games forever (or at least until your PS3 bites the dust), not all of them have expiration dates
I mean I get what people are saying that the games aren't really free, but I think people that are using PSN+ truly understand that. It's still a bit of a silly counter-argument, because it's obvious what they are really trying to do by playing these semantics.
