Yeah dude it's great. In typical Souls fashion, those first few hours are hell. Once you get in the flow of things though, the game is digital crack.

@quatoe: Hehe, then you'll definitely dig it. I managed to slaughter the first boss in one try and thought to myself "This aint nuffin"... then I got to the 2nd boss and got wrecked about 20 times lol. That was basically the point where the game is like "This isn't your grandpas Souls game". You gotta be quick.

When you can add BroknOath to PSN...in potentially 3 fucking days. :(

The second boss kicked my ass so bad, I had to ultimately cave and summon co-op help.

I didn't get Bloodborne's combat system to click for me till after my fourth boss, until then I was sort of winging it, at least on the bosses, though I was able to negotiate my way through the actual levels with not that much trouble.

Nope, that thread got locked, didn't stop GS Staff from posting the same shit as an article today though.

Don't know which boss it was number-wise, but it was the blood-starved beast I called on co-op help for, not 100% sure I needed it, but I never felt up to the task on my own. Unfortunately I never got farther than that, I was already burnt out on Souls style games by that point.

I needed help on Father Gascogine, Blood Starved Beast, and Vicar Amelia.

Once Amelia was down, I could handle the game's bosses myself, but until then, they were each a potential progress killer. After that they were a fun challenge that I could take down in a couple tries.

This might have been a minor event but the Suikoden confusion was also kind of entertaining.

This thread just keeps on giving.

@charizard1605: Yeah, getting through the levels just takes patience and a bit of intuition. Not always easy of course, but it's something that is manageable. Boss fights? You're always just like "Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit, WTF THEY CAN ACTUALLY DO THAT, oh shit, oh shit, oh... dead." It's basically like running on hot coals... naked.

Basically. See, I'm more persistent than I am skilled, and I could use my persistence to get through levels even before Bloodborne 'clicked' for me. Once I got through that boss, though, I got really good at the game. Like, I was getting bosses on my first and second try, it was insane.

Made me so mad when the game threw all semblance of balance out the window in areas like Yahar Gul.

@charizard1605: Yeah, that persistence is the key to eventually being skilled though, at least that's how it works for me. Like with NGB, I eventually became invincible in that game, but only after getting my ass roasted a good thousand times lol.

And yeah, we'll never have a "perfect" Souls game. There's always going to be those instances of "Oh, you appreciate the hard-but-fair nature of this game, well here is a shit sandwich and **** you".

Yep, lol, pretty much. The mark of a great game is that it keeps you coming back to it even when it keeps discouragingly crushing your spirit over and over and over again- and Bloodborne definitely falls under that category.

And yeah, it sounds like it, lol. It's a shame, too. I am absolutely serious, if Bloodborne didn't shit the bed in some of its later areas, it was a shoe in for a 10/10 from me, and a place in my all time Top 5. Still a great game, of course, nothing changes that- but man, after Forbidden Woods, I wish it had kept its momentum going.

I got back from Dinner and PS4 PSN is up and going after a few hours down.

I noticed before I left PS3 and Vita were up for me, but PS4 PSN was down.

PS4 PSN is up and going. I don't know when it went back up, but I just got home and badda bing badda boom, I am in business.

I wonder if that was some sort of fear mongering tactics regarding the potential 3 days stuff.

When PSN went down today, I figured it would be a few hours since it said maintenance. I got online and people were talking about January 7th.

I wondered how valid that was then because we've seen trolls make stuff up before time and time again, and now that PSN PS4 is up I wonder now if that was just some troll having a laugh. It strikes me as odd.

Some trolls (?, complete guess) that lied about PSN today have egg on their face, if that's where the date came from. Hopefully it wasn't some sort of photoshop troll. If it was, I guess they just wanted to troll and scare users which is pretty typical.

Then again, maybe Sony needlessly scared users as well, I wish I knew. I went to the PSN status and I didn't see a message about a specific date, but it could have been altered after.

Oh, lol. The outage was shorter than I thought then.

There was all that talk about 3 days and January 7th. I thought it was routine maintenance, but I guess I got swept away in the misinformation.

It was down for 8 or 9 hours, and the Jan 7th is because that date popped up for some on the PSN status page

The rules seem hellbent on banning people as there is no way to ever reverse any course starting today, although the rules keep fluctuating.

I was online when it went down. I was showing my lady some stuff on the store and it went down with a message of maintenance this afternoon, so it wasn't 8 hours for me, but maybe when it went down was regional.

Why do cows play on the sh*tiest console, on the sh*itiest network with the sh*tiest controller there is? There is more to gaming than extra pixels.

PSN truly deserves the title as the worst online service ever on consoles. And the sad things, only the Playstation fanbase is unintelligent enough to fork over money for PSN now, Sony takes advantage of their consumer base more than anyone and I have no sympathy for the PS fanbase who fall for it,

My PSN is fine, i was online 5minutes ago doing an FOB mission on MGS5. I'm in the UK so, maybe the UK isn't affected
