Quantum Break full installation tops 120GB's

If you want to play this game and view the show offline you will need to download the Episode Pack which is another 75GB's on top of the 46GB game install, if you're connected to the internet they will simply stream.

The reason for so much data for the show is there are apparently 40 variations to the episodes that reflect the decisions made in game.

How much download would it take up if you are streaming ? Around the same or ... ?

Well I recently bought 1tb ssd to go with the old ones, but if the streaming works fine might not waste space

If not than streaming would be at a lower res, or at a higher compression meaning lesser quality.

Oh yeah, I see what you're saying, it will likely be compressed video and as such of lower overall quality and less in size, I assume the downloaded video is raw.

The saddest part is that you don't even get the video download option in the PC version. Not that I would buy a UWP game anyway (which sucks since this game looks pretty damn cool :/).

That's a lot of GB's. Thankfully the 75GB are optional since the episode stuff will just stream when online.

Is the PC version just forced download for the episodes? Where are you seeing this?

No, from what I've heard the PC version only has a streaming option. That's pretty ridiculous. They say it's because of 4k, but come on, it's PC! My PC currently has 3.25TB of internal HDD/SSD storage, and I just ordered a 1TB SSD on top of that. PC gamers can have as much storage as they want, but not all of them have good internet and some might like to just download the episodes overnight instead. :/

@R4gn4r0k: I got a 4TB external drive and will probably get a 12TB external drive the next time. My 4TB is already 31% filled.

I hope to stream it as well, although I'm curiou on how to get all the episodes.. I suppose I'll need a guide like 999, I dont want to go to youtube and watch them, I think it will be cool to experience them all.

yeah it seems kind of silly, that the platform that has all the storage possibilities doesn't have a download option

Not really. The episodes tie-in to the game, along with your decisions, but you can skip them entirely if you want. It's actually a pretty neat package.

The game changes not only what happens in it by your decisions, but what you view in the TV show as well, there's something like 40 different variations to the TV episodes you will view, as a result it's going to take A LOT of data.

each chapter is interspersed with 20 minute long live action "episodes" and what occurs in each episode is determined by choices the player makes so there have to be multiple different versions of each episode

Sounds good, I have good download speeds, hell I was able to download GTA5 which is 63 gigs in 40 minutes. I downloading it three times for kicks to test out my net when I first got Fibre. 75gigs is nothing and means the video game to tv experience should be something great, not a slap on job.

yeah, figure that downloading all those episodes would account for a lot of the game size, if there's a streaming option I'd rather do that

if the episodes turn out to be utterly awesome though I'll consider downloading them, I have more than enough room wth a 2TB HDD but I never install more games than I have rooms for pins on my dashboard, I find keeping it managed as such to keep the HDD more responsive

75GB for a gimmick? No thanks, 60GB is bad enough as it is. Wonder if this another game you watch instead of play.
