@sts106mat: How's it holding up graphically/resolution wise? Does it look a lot better on your own TV?

@sts106mat: How's it holding up graphically/resolution wise? Does it look a lot better on your own TV?
@dynamitecop: Its weird, thats how i would describe it. you have full control of the camera, so unlike with The order 1886, where if you move the camera, your character moves, that doesn't happen here. so you can move the camera around while characters are talking to each other in-game.
Good.
at times it looks great, the facial animations are superb, with realistic movements, not only in cut-scenes but also in game dialogue where you have full control of the camera. the timelapse sequence in a certain location (no spoilers) was fantastic & cool. the effects on the ripples and other time effects and the physics they cause are also superb.
the world is very detailed. materials look very realistic and it works really well, similar to how well Ryse / order 1886 did materials. The character models are well detailed and tie in superb with the real people in the show.
Bad
Once or twice, the film grain filter seems to become stronger and its a weird effect. The lighting can be awesome, but can also cause things to look washed out if you move the camera in a certain way. there has been a little screen tear, not a lot.
so, it can look awesome, but its also possible to make it look bad...like i say, its weird.
Cool, thanks.
I know many people are going to call me "butt hurt" or that im damage controlling and blah blah blah... But I'm surprised MC has not updated the score. The game now has 59 postive reviews(14 mixed and 3 negative) with 3 recent good reviews from the 3th and 4th that are actually in the 90s....

Probably because of that weighted shit, look at it this way, GameSpot and GiantBomb are among the lowest reviews for the game, they're both owned by CBS Interactive, well so is Metacritic, I have no doubt their reviews hold the most weight and they don't disclose any of the weight values.
I noticed that too, it got more reviews in the 90's yet it's still at 78...
Also thats why I said SINCE THE BEGINNING of this thread that sales are more important and will deem if this game was successful or not.
@dynamitecop
Yeah MC is looking real funny right now.
The only thing funny is you xbots still damage controlling your flop. When a Sony exclusive flops it sucks. When a M$ exclusive flops it must be media bias.

My GOD you sound like a freaking robot repeating yourself over and over again. YES! The game flopped on GS and has a MC score of 78! WE GET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Still not gonna stop me from picking up my preorder tomorrow and enjoying the game.
PS: Don't call me an Xbox when in fact the PS4 is my favorite console and the X1 is my secondary console for only exclusives...
So by fanboy logic, GS should wait for the reviews and rate it whatever the number on metacritic is? I'm just trying to understand the logic of fanboys counting up the reviews and averaging out the scores several times a day.

You lems couldn't stop making fun of The Order and "5club" when they flopped and now your precious Quantum Break that you hyped up for 3 years flops and suddenly scores don't matter anymore. Hypocrites.

The mixed reviews didn't change, the negative reviews didn't change, the game literally got another 92, and two more 90's after those settled and the score didn't change, he's not bullshitting you, that seems a bit odd.

It only seems odd to tinfoil hat xbots. Metacritic does not care about console wars.

why are you tagging me in this you clown? I have said many times on this website how much i enjoyed the Order 1886.
I wasn't the one who tagged you. I'll remove your name from the quotes so you don't cry anymore over it though.

Oh on the contrary, it's not a conspiracy towards any one console but I definitely see what's taking place here, not with this game in particular but the weight system in general. Two of the reviews on the lowest end of the spectrum are GameSpot and GiantBomb, they're both CBS Interactive companies, so is Metacritic, no one knows the weights any of these review sites hold but the fact that the score was 78 previously, the mixed reviews were unchanged, the negative reviews were unchanged, but the positive reviews got an additional two 90's and a 92 and it still stayed at 78 has only one explanation....
"Unknown" sites on the bottom end of the review spectrum hold more weight than any others which would not allow lesser weighted sites with very high scores to affect the overall aggregate, I wonder which ones... Hmmm...
This is what is referred to as a conflict of interest, now think of this, they have this pull with every review that hits that website, that's bullshit man...

STop projecting shit onto me I was never making fun of the Order or 5club just because they were Sony exclusives. Nor did I even care about those games. You don't even know what type of gamer I am. It seems anyone who talks about the review of this game is a lem according to you.

Wow ... I think you're on to something ... CBS interactive is without a doubt part of the conspiracy to lowball Xbox reviews. I wonder who else is in on it?

It just got a 40 and another 95, a 95 outweighs a 40 as an increase in average rather than decline.
So it was 78 then a 40, 90, 90, 92 & 95 were added and the score still remains 78... No tinfoil hats here, the weight of GameSpot and GiantBomb are destroying positive review traction on the aggregate.
They've got their sites rigged with more weight than any others which is no surprise as all three sites are branches of CBS Interactive....

Well I think they give more weight to sites like gamespot and giantbomb since they are bigger sites. The 6/10 on gamespot is already way too subjective, the 4/10 on giantbomb is complete loss of credibility for that site.
Still even if you give all the sites the same weight you have an average of 80 on metacritic, which is about the same as gamerankings (79.67 percent), that's good but still not the masterpiece that some people expected it to be. Something that comes back a lot is the lacking story, which drags the score down for the game, since it is a story driven game
.
That doesn't take away that this game is a visual spectacle with original gameplay and a great score.
Shut the fk up, I doubt Sony used PSN plus millions to tell CBS/GS rig the score of the competition games...

LMAO!! Yup he's extremely butthurt.
Anyone play the game yet? Thoughts? Like it? Love it? Hate it?
Isnt it not out until tomorrow?
I actually got the game on Saturday since there's a mom and pop store around me that sells all their games early when they get it.
@Kruiz_Bathory: I mean the console is not even branded. It's like they know people would hate having their console tattooed with such a flop. They are using white Xboxes to sell QB rather than QB to sell Xboxes.
MS: Want a white Xbox? You better buy it with this flopper!
@aigis: No, but people get games early by mom and pop stores as well as people who get review copies.
If CBS and Sony conspired? I don't care I can buy the game and review it by myself, most gaming websites are rigged just like most profesional sports are rigged.
The only trusty review shall be ours, By Law.
If you're satisfied with the games media being hijacked by a foreign corporation ... and having the Sony Agenda forced down your throats then you're beyond help.
I personally am not going to stand for it.
Awesome to see the overwhelmingly positive reviews on Metacritic, 61 total now. A risky project that could have turned out so much worse, I'm stoked to play the game later and hopefully I will enjoy it as well!
The real story in this thread is the CBS/Sony conspiracy and you people lack the basic perception skills to see it ...
