Lots of them call themselves hermits now because they are ashamed of being associated with the 360. But there are a couple of vocal ones like loosingENDS but he's probably becoming ashamed as we speak.

There have never really been militant lemmings anywhere near the ridiculous extremes that Sony fanboys go to. Not to say they don't exist; we all remember the likes of salin (i think that was his name?) and bioshockownz. But generally? I agree with Destructoid and Sessler that this generation seemed to usher in a new kind of fanboy drastically worse than the other consoles had to their name.
Nobbody knows which direction MS will go in next generation, this place is full of baseless assumptions about the future of gaming, for me, the wii-u looks like a promising investment, can't wait to try out the tablet controller, but i will wait and see what both the other hardware makers have to offer before making my choice, there isn't any point in anybody choosing now which way to go, there isn't anything to choose between yet.

I am a hermit, but I did get a PS3 this gen. Come next gen though, I am not sure I will be buying a PS4 because of the direction Sony is going with trying to fight used game sales. Any console that tries to fight used games next gen with not see my money.

You say that, but Halo has literally made me keep the 360 over the PS3. The PS3 lacks a game like that, if you ask me. It has some great exclusives no doubt, but they're all kinda 'me too' games. They don't have anything where i'd say man, i cant sell my PS3 because i just cant miss out on X. If i sold my 360, i'd know that this winter all of my friends would be playing Halo 4 every night, every weekend, having a blast and i'd be missing out on that playing Infamous 2 or something on my PS3 and telling myself i have the better machine (like a BOSS).

PC gamer and "Sheep" , Xbox owner I most likely won't purchase the next xbox, the 360 hardly ever offered anything for me. Currently a Halo box or Party chat machine.
