you bought a ps3?This article means theres no PS4 coming next-year. Sony's financial troubles are going to delay the PS4 they have to say things like this now
But Really Next - gen start with the Xbox 720 next holiday season with Watchdog's, Starwars 1313 and the best version of GTA 5
I have played all the uncharted games from naughty Dog and personally anticipating looking forward to the last of us but i honest have to wonder why people are hyping this game like its going to be the game of all games when its release.
lol, if GTA V comes out next year that will be GOTY 2013.Watch The Last of Us get GOTY in 2013 and all Lems will claim it's overrated and pick on minor details like they always do.

Rockstar > UbisoftThe game looks crappy for a next gen game and the animations are great for the game.super600
If you're referring to mitu's pics he did the same exact thing last year with Uncharted 3 in one of the areas of the Plane sequence ... a fence or something came off looking very jagged
Remember these are promotional alpha codes
Crappy = Naughty Dog don't go together son.
So much PR talk over this game...
And honestly,I never saw anything mindblowing in either gameplay or graphics so far...
That protagonist cooperation looks like an interesting idea, but it remains to be seen if it will manage to function well and consistent thorough the entire playthrough...

sorry not for me, i find their metacritic scores and the hyperbole around them ridiculous (from actual critics aswell as gamers and fanboys), only Uncharted 1 and 2 that is, i didn't bother with the 3rd so i couldn't pass proper judgement. But predictably TLOU is going in the same direction, though at least i will enjoy reading critics absurd praising of anything and everything; "omg you can take slightly different routes through levels", "omg you can use stealth, or CHOOSE NOT TO use stealth", "omg characters actually react differently depending what you do". ugh really? :?...[QUOTE="nitekids2004"][QUOTE="princeofshapeir"]

hermits hyping Day Z should not talk about TLOU graphics.
Because Hermits are totally calling Day Z "a next generation game" or claiming that it's the best-looking game ever. Because the people who enjoy Day Z actually play it for the graphics and not for the intense survival-based gameplay. Because gameplay and graphics aren't mutually exclusive and just because we enjoy one game that doesn't have amazing graphics doesn't mean we lack the credibility to tell what does and doesn't look good. Why are you so stupid?I can see the jelly oozing.
You think people will play this just for gfx alone?
TLOU is from a confirmed AAA dev and will soon redefine the survival action genre
Day Z would be lucky to hold a candle compared to TLOU
Being late to the show might be what takes the shine off TLOU...My prediction is that by Feb. 2013 the next box is officially announced along with an avalanche of information ,videos and screenshots of real next gen launch games that will make TLOU pale in comparison, effectively stealing sony's thunder and having the net abuzz and lit up about the real next gen. And much like the ps3 when it launched a year late , the window of opportunity for galvanizing the public's attention will have passed...The effect this will have in all likelyhood is that TLOU will be a very good game but will not do what sony would really love it to do , which is , move hardware

Wrong - TLOU is not to move hardware. If that was Sony's main intention, they should have released it for the PS4.
TLOU is for the gamers and loyal Sony fans

TLOU will be amazing, but it's not next gen. It's going to be one of the most technically amazing games on consoles though.
If The Last of Us was a non-Naughty Dog (PS3 Shepherd) multiplat, no one would give a flying f**k about the game.Riadon2
Agreed. Cows hear Naughty Dog, and they j*zz their collective pants. And before you throw out the hate, I'm a pretty big Uncharted 1/2/3 fan.
At the end of every generation games become more technically advanced because developers have had years to create on the platform. This happens EVERY generation and this gen is no different.
So, if you believe The Last of us is the start of next gen, then either you just started gaming this gen or you haven't been paying attention to what has happened several times already..
Most of what you said has nothing got to do with it ebing next gen quality at all. Just you trying to find an excuse to praise the game. It's visuals alone cement it firmly in this gen. Next gen acting is a stupid thing to say. What about the acting is "next gen" and how does acting even fall into a gen. LA Noire had some amazing face tech but no one called that next gen. Hell even Heavenly sword had some outstanding mocap and it was the start of the gen
"it's not a normal post apocalypse"? it couldn't be more like a post apocalypse we've already seen. Just cos not in games doesn't mean anything if it's done to death in movies and books all the time. Also Naughty Dog have a habit of taking other ideas and just making it their own. It will be a great game but not as groundbreaking and unique as some people are making it out to be

Especially since ND came out and started criticizing people just for praising the stories in other games. Yeah they might be great games, but thats it, what people try to make out they are goes way beyond that, as this article proves.
