Reasons why the Last of Us is the start of Next Gen.

Odd logic, so the game aims to go back to some of the reasons why games ment something last gen, and suddnely its next gen?

Im quite happy to hear that ND is embracing what used to matter in games, instead of the "blockbuster, all flash-no substance" that games have ended in. But it does not make it enxt gen in any ways, it just makes it relevant (which may in the end be far more important).

Its sad how gaming has fallen in alot of areas such as difficulty, storytelling, story overall, cause and effect. All in the favor of gaining a broader audience, which in the end have left the majority of AAA games anomonous and unlikable from a gaming standpoint. So Im Happy that ND has aimed for this, I hope they pull through, and not get the infamous last minute "wait we would need this and this and this demographic, so lets cut out depper meaning, ease up on difficulty, and lets make it "streamlined" with a "push to win" butten.

So next gen? no that is a pretty retarted thing to state. A game that can possible break out of the obnoxious hole game development has landed in? Indeed ^^

Does not change the fact that it is on a PS3, and thus can not by any logic be next gen.

Its the little things that really make The Last Of Us pop visually. The way that sun lit walls seem to almost glow slightly, how Joel flexes his hands when hes thinking and the way the animation has its own AI pulling out movements and blending them depending on theenvironment and things around you. Everything Naughty Dog learned about blending motion caption, hand animation and procedural stuff is combined with a mastery of the PS3 great than even Sonys own engineers. This will quite possibly be the absolute peak of current gen graphics.

It's a big giant troll thread with the cows desperately trying to convince themselves that supporting the last place company was worth it. It always seems like there's a great game on the horizon that's going to make the PS3 worth it. After the TLOU comes out, flops (doesn't save the PS3) it will be the one after that until the PS4 comes out. Then it will be "but but but wait for the PS4 it will really own". The PS3 has some really nice games, but really, do you have to be a moron to enjoy it?

The 360's hardware is reliable and none of the Xbox Live fees are "hidden".

And if we're doing comparisons...

The 360 has more variety overall, better sales, better multiplatform titles, more games and a better online service.

Just sayin...

The Last of Us is indeed the start of next gen, the AI is just incredible. Next generation titles like ZOMBIU just don't compare to the greatness that is The Last of Us
