[QUOTE="lbjkurono23"][QUOTE="DarkLink77"] RE4 is a multiplat. It is one of the most important and innovative (and best) titles released last gen. It is being beaten by a system exclusive that merely does stuff that many other games do very well. I think it's pretty obvious why it's Cowspot.DarkLink77

I knew my tin foil horns would come in handy.

Keep 'em handy, stuff is about to go down! :P

Thanks for the heads up :P *puts horns on* I look dashing =P

When I played RE4 years ago, I got a feeling that I had never gotten too often before while playing it. It's still one of my favorites to this very day. Uncharted 2, however, was pretty good, had great presentation-production and overall was a fun ride, but it just wasn't really memorable or a classic. One of the more overrated games of the gen I think. I will say that it was better than RE5 though lol

lol @ the poll. No way it should be about even.

Now, I could be wrong, but I'm guessing most of the votes for Uncharted 2 were by people that never played RE4. Just a guess.

I haven't played RE4 in some time, and maybe I'm putting it on a pedestal because of this, but after replaying UC2, it wasn't even close for me. RE4 was much more enjoyable.

But now that I am imagining, without RE4, UC would probably come out weird..

what's your psn id? SpeedsterCards
It's in my profile. It won't help you, though. I haven't had it connected to the internet for a while, and I only got Unharted 2 recently. It was a birthday present. That bloody thing says I don't even have any trophies in the original, and I've gone out of my way to get the ones for combos, headshots, and the treasures, plus the chapter specific ones.

Don't have the system with me. I'm off at school, and I leave it at home so my folks can use it as a Blu-ray player. If you want to wait until this weekend, though, I'll be home and I'd be happy to play it with you. :)

Resident Evil 4 all the way. Personally Uncharted 2 doesn't even have good unlockables in the game, while Resident evil 4 does and keeps me coming back because of that.

Gonna be honest, I think RE4 is boring. I own it, never finished it. Couldn't finish RE5 either. As with Uncharted 2, I couldn't put down the controller.

So it can never be vice versa? Heck, the first page has like 5 people saying they never played UC2.

You're right. All that happens in RE4 is Ashley constantly being kidnapped thus making Leon chase after her while doing some other less important stuff.

I don't know the RE story as a whole really well (a decent bit I guess), but I thought RE4 was pretty awesome for a story. Not perfect or the best, but definitely a good one if I recall correctly.

Haha I know, I was just putting my 2 cents in :P. I think the presentation of the story though is really what made it so special. You don't know much and it feels so mysterious and then the **** hits the fan and its awesome. Great progression really.

Hmm were you ever interested in trying the classic ones?(I know there're easier ways of getting up to date with the story :P ), but I would recommend playing those .. that is if you're okay with the game mechanics :)

I played....Zero I believe lol. In the mansion with Jill and such. I actually made it pretty far I think (been many years now) and I enjoyed it at the time although the movement (at least when starting) made me quite angry lol. IDK its just one of those series I neve really got into for some strange reason. Come to think of it, what systems did it release on and such? I had always been a Nintendo Only guy until a few years ago I went to PC as well (my favorite now), and this gen I owned all the systems (sold the 360) and bought a PS2 and played some of the games I missed out on. MGS1-4 :). I regret being a Nintendo fanboy lol, but I had played games on other systems prior to owning them this gen, just not much. Anyway, sorry for the wall of text :P.

i really like re4 because its set in a fictional universe with monsters/zombies/mystery etc.. (even though uncharted has these things pretty much its more 'real' kinda) anyways.. i like the controls and gameplay of uncharted more

Not really. First of all, that's comparing film to games, which is probably unfair. Secondly, the running is extremely close.

I like to run and shoot in my games so I have to say UC2. RE4 didn't do anything for me but I didn't start back gaming until this gen so going backwards is tough with worst graphics and all.

Im going to go with RE4 but I also feel as far as the SP goes UC2 had just as big of an impact as the RE4 SP. Whereas RE4 revolutionised the TPS genre UC3 really took it to the next level with some of the best set pieces ever to grace a video-game.

Both really outstanding games...Uncharted 2 edges RE out by having great multiplayer that stands out on its own merits and remains fun to this day (unlike some other games I can name), ON TOP of having a crazily high-quality campaign that had almost no rough spots (whereas I can name a few real tedious parts in RE 4), and being one of the few games this generation to have proper cheats.

I will say that RE 4 easily has better boss fights, and a funnier story, if unintentionally so. And obviously its influence is much greater, but I'm comparing games here.

Resident Evil 4, I loved it on ps2 so much I got the GC version 2 years ago and the graphics are 360 quality. I mean I do not even see how the two can be compared when Resident Evil 4 had much higher standards its gen in terms of action adventure games. Both games had amazing graphics but RE4 had art style. RE4 also was far more unique and not standard TPS fair. Infact I would call RE4 one of the most influential games from last gen as many of its elements were passed on to this generation.

Film is subjective but gaming has definate revolutions. For me alls The Godfather was is a well acted mobster movie maybe ( I can't stand it though). The Godfather did not revolutionise the movie industry.

Resident Evil 4 revolutionised Survival Horror, Action Adventure, and Shooter genres. Its influence can be clearly seen in games like Gears of War (who admited its influence ) and Dead Space (who also did).
