Uncharted's gameplay is polished... Nothing really new. It is like what Halo is to FPS except Halo 2 actually has a claim to fame in popularising console online.

uncharted 2 by far it's not even funny, Re4 killed the series for me. I remember stoping playing the game after you fight the monster in the lake. RE4 is probably one of the most overrated game of all time

Resident Evil 4,easily since I haven't played Uncharted 2.But Resident Evil 4 is one of the best games ever made imo.

But the revolutionary gameplay is kinda stretching it also. It only joined the Splinter Cell kinda shooting mechanic where you draw the wepon and it brings this kinda over the shoulder zoom were the character model kinda blocks some of the view, with body part hit detection like from the days of Goldeneye and QTE's here and there from like Shenmue.

So I don't see why this discredit aura against a game that polishes something some one else did and totally glorifying some one that took stuff from others and placed it together. If both did something good both need credit.

Resident Evil 4 took the series into new territory adding much smoother controls and excellent scenery and revolutionising its genre. Uncharted 2 just made things better from the first game with improved combat and alot of good set pieces.

Wow...great question. I beat RE4 a number of times and never got tired of how it combined the classic feel of RE but with a faster, more fun gameplay. I think it is the best RE game and I can still easily play it today and love it just as much.

Uncharted 2 is also an amazing game and a cinematic masterpiece.

I am going to cast my vote for Uncharted 2 because it was more cinematic, had a much better story and because Drake is more of a character than Leon was in RE4.

No because Resident Evil 4 was a polished game and controls as it is intended. OoT has not aged as well because of the N64 controller imo but we will see how it holds up on the 3DS release.

Resident Evil 4 was not improved in its sequal imo. 5's discarding the briefcase made it more like an action game and its did not have nearly as great of an atmosphere imo.

it's like comparing Tomb Rider 1 and Resident Evil 1. they are different kind of games.

but i choose RE4 anytime.

Stop hating. The question is which game is better NOW, not which game had a bigger impact. Games like Gears and Uncharted improved upon what RE4 started. I played through RE4 like a100 times when the game came out in 2005 but now six years later better games have come out. You don't need to be a Cow to understand this.

I'd say you don't know the difference between fact and opinion.

I think the wii port was better than the original, but thats my opinion ofc.

My vote goes for RE4.

I can still play that game today and have tons of fun with it.

Dead Space and Gears of War (both amazing games) are examples of RE4's influence and their are plenty more.
