Resistance (720p resolution confirmed long ago) *New Edit*

First off, for those who noticed in Cobras biased thread, he was using cherry-picked images of the PRE-ALPHA stage boat demo that came with Battle: Los Angeles.

Insomniac: "The build is a couple months old (to be included in the Battle: LA disc). It is a complete demo though (not leaked code). Since then we have added a lot more polish and tweaks to the entire game."

Every thread that was claiming resistance 3 ran in sub HD resolutions were using images from the very old blu-ray movie boat demo, even contradicting the fact that insomniac clearly stated that the game is 720p (Just like the previous titles in the series).

well they had to dumb it down to make it work for the consoles lol but yes you are correct

In game =/= Real time. These images have not been rendered in real time on PS3. I can guarantee you that much.

who cares about what it looks like, it's resistence, it's so boring that i never even finished the second one.

it just sits there in my entertainment system waiting for the day when other games are so bad that it actually looks appealing to put it back in the system.

I hated Resistance 2, but even R2 looks MILES better than those shots. Graphically speaking R2 was a pretty good looking game - albeit nowhere near the likes of the best on PS3 (GOW3, Uncharted 2, Killzone 2/3, etc). It just seems highly doubtful that Resistance 3 will look so much worse than R2.

That being said the pics to start this thread are obviously BS as well. So on one hand you are posting the most hideous looking images of some demo, and this thread is posting bullshots. Neither will be close to accurate IMO.

Who is this thing?

I think it does look much better than r1 and 2.

Its running on a brand new engine with much better everything.

The artstyle looks more apealing but the game is more confined andthe new engine handles everything better than before.

Better Lightning, better effects (smoke, explosions), better animations.

This engine could handle a next gen game with better hardware (PS4).

lol nice try, but this is what the game really look like. you can't fool anyone with your bullshots.

and the sad thing is that even the bullshots look awful :lol:
