RIP Hermits: GTA V PC delayed to March 24

It was still a response from Rockstar. And you really think a whole lot changed in between then and now? They let it be put out there less than 2 weeks ago that the game had not been delayed

I heave a feeling they are just waiting for the console versions sales to die down a bit because it sounds like a BS excuse, unless they are adding more features than the console versions.

Already played the game a ton on PS3. I don't mind waiting another 2 months for the best version.

Those specs are also very reasonable. A mid range 2012 GPU as recommended? My SLI 970s will kill this game. Might even get to 60 fps at 4k...

Are people still surprised about big game sizes?

Both new gen consoles have 50 GB disc space now and games like GTA V make full use of it with high quality sound and tons of good textures. (Not to mention the ingame TV shows which are also higher quality)

Why wouldn't it in 2015? I have played 2 games in the past 3 years that didn't support SLI. Trackmania Stadium and Star Citizen, which both now support it.

Heard Evolve doesnt support SLI at launch, Assassins Creed Unity should support SLI but with lastest patch it doesnt work. So yeah SLI is nothing you can be sure about.

this is why only investing in one platfrom is bad for gamers. Enjoy waiting for a game everyone beat ages ago. I hope those high res textures are worth the wait.

I'd rather wait for the best version than play an unfinished beta-test a year earlier.

PS. GTAV will be even more Master Race now that R* took time to polish it even more. Delayed but polished GTAV >>>>>>>>> GTA IV. Do people have really short memory of how crappy GTAIV port were.

I'm only getting the PC version just for mods but I'm not getting it on March 24 cause Bloodborne is on tat same date so I'll just put this on hold until I'm finish with Bloodborne. Sorry Rockstars.

Evlove won't, that is correct. But Unity's SLI problems was screen flickering and there were easy workarounds a day or 2 after Update 4 launched. And it's Ubisoft.

Sucks for some people, but I wouldn't be buying it for a while anyways.

its the same game with a slightly prettier coat of paint. The game worked fine on day 1 your just in damage control mode.

Except for all that extra content... increased graphical fidelity... 1080p60fps (probably 4K in a few weeks after release)... mods.

The only people damage controlling here are consolites who think playing a game early as opposed to playing the best possible version is somehow a boon.

The textures? Probably not. But on a side note, the countless mods to the game, like Batmobiles, Iron Man suits, super powers, and shit load of stuff, will probably be worth it since they'll never come to consoles.

Meh, big whoop. A 2 month delay after waiting over a year isn't that big of a deal.

And let's be honest: many of the big fans of the franchise that are waiting for the PC release already have a copy on one platform or another, so it's not like they're missing anything. They just want a superior version, and access to mods.

$60? More like $70 where I live which is Canada since many stores here are listing the PC price of the game at $70. If the price was at $50 then it would of been better but at $70 then no I will not pay that full price.

@Ben-Buja: depends on the game. Like titanfall isn't exactly a large game world nor does it have great graphics. And the console version was much smaller than the PC version that asked for 50gb because of uncompressed audio.

I'm really impressed that Rockstar delayed it, more developers need to follow this example and not release an unfinished product. The reaction on the actual article is hilarious though.

As long as it's a good port, I don't mind waiting at all.

If 2014 has proven anything, it's that releasing a game before it's ready is a recipe for disaster. Always better to wait longer for a better game.

Literally 0 shits given. I want this game, but I'm too busy playing Dark Souls 2 and the shit ton of games I got on the holiday sales. I'm glad they delayed it if it means a more polished game+ more time for me to prepare.

Heh. The pc will have the heists in online mode when it's released. That is perfectly fine by me... Been waiting for a year and a half for them for the PS3 and ps4 to have them...

I am ok with this.. Better the game is delayed a few months instead of releasing a complete mess of a game.. It's not like I have nothing to play.. I have too many games to play right now from Alien Isolation, Dragon Age Inquistion, Farcry 4, and I just got back into The Old Republic again.. Then I got to go back to Shogun 2 Total War with my new upgrades (970 gtx video card and 144hz monitor).. And numerous other games.

1. You ignored everything he said. He did not mention graphics, he mentioned the amazing mods.

2. Waiting "ages" isn't an issue when your system has more high scoring releases than any console, every year. This is a system where age doesn't matter. We don't "move on" to the next CoD or movie-game....waiting months without anything to play. Gaming doesn't come in timed chunks, its constant.
