A fanbase that once inundated System Wars with buzz catch phrases like "Fastest console sold ever" after launch and "Selling even better than the XBox 360" for about a year and a half is telling people to not jump to hasty conclusions.

You should have been around here back in 2009 when Lemmings were proudly proclaiming every other week with a new thread that Sony was going bankrupt and that there would be no Playstation 4. Save your tears for the deserving.

You should see them on IGN man, they claimed that any PS4 game that got in the 8s or lower (even 8.7) were considered mediocre games that aren't worth getting but the second Quantum Break came out then 8.0 was considered great again and that PS owners are all trolls that can't appreciate it.

Nevermind the fact that a generation ago, the Entertainment Supercomputer was a joke because XBox offered you choice and was a gaming console first and foremost. Playing cross-platform games with better settings was more important because exclusives were becoming a thing of the past and everyone knew that the best games were the multiplat ones.

Oh, I could go on about how the shoe fitting better on the other foot, but we all know the score. At the end of the day, Xbox is a special brand that a few people let play by their own special rules. Those posters are easy to spot and fooling no one.

Stick by what I've been saying for 3 years now, Xbox fanboys are the worst in gaming.

he means that the way Lems hyped up the game, you would believe that it would get a mid 80s to 90s score on metacritic as well

It may have lost the fanboy wars because MS doesn't do exclusives anymore, but games are still being made for it and the console is selling. It seems to be doing okay with the console only gamers.

Well, if you consider over 33% more (more like 66% if you leave out Japan since Nintendo is abnormally strong there while XBox was a DOA brand) with one less year on the market "barely," sure.

@techhog89: yeah that's what I figured, still sad cause I don't think the Xbox could be like this. So many IPs that Microsoft is just sitting on and they're making bad decisions or just not caring.

If one were to take all the hating on each console on these forums and add in the complete lack of the basic knowledge of business/commerce on these forums, one would come to the conclusion that next gen would not have any consoles at all. Here's a tip...all of the big 3 will still be in the video game market next gen. These threads are still entertaining though, so keep them up. Some very rough estimates to date...

PS4/Vita - 50M+ units sold

XB1 - 20M+ units sold *(no longer reporting, presumably higher)

WIU/3DS - 70M+ units sold

@Vatusus: Regardless it's a flop. It's supposed to be a system seller and 78 average doesn't cut it. Killer apps are supposed to score 90+.

@Juub1990: only Sony fanboys in this cess pool of a forum and the hack writers on this site believe this. Been having fun playing Ark Survival since December will be playing QB when it comes out too. Everyone I know thats played it enjoyed QB and people are saying their a lot of hints in the game that Alan Wake 2 is coming using this engine.

If Uncharted 4 gets an 8 or lower, it's a FLOP. Quantum Break was a flop as well. Both games were hyped AAA and if they don't meet that. FLOP. Easy peasy.

@putaspongeon: my bad, I was misinformed by myself. I correlated Helldivers dev with Aliennation, mistake on my part. Loved Dead Nation, and seeing how impressive resogun looked, Aliennation looks like it will be a gem. Wish I had a ps4 now as they've had some great titles in one of my beloved genres that's been lacking on the xbox one.

Honestly just get a ps4, there are tons of quality games coming to ps4 that most people dont' talk about, Ni-Oh is just one example.

It is selling but this year it will fall behind the xbox 360,i think already January and February the xbox one was below the 360 in the same time frame of those 2 months,it would be interesting to see march sales,amazon shows the xbox very distant from the PS4 this past month.

It was over before it started really haha. I wish it was better because I would own one. This really makes me miss Sega with MS not caring about console gaming, Nintendo making dumb decisions with hardware/controllers and Sony being the only company who knows what they are doing. I wish the original Xbox sold the Dreamcast number and the Dreamcast succeeded.

It is always fun when people think they know what the year might bring even before the E3 of that year

What can I say? Sony just dropped another great exclusive in Ratchet and Clank. It scored better than both Halo 5 and Quantum Break. Two of Xbox One's bigger draws.
