I say just the opposite. By not offering HDMI and a larger hard drive last year, MS gave gamers a console that will play the same games as this 'updated' one will, but gave them that console for a LOT less money than if this updated one was available at launch. Had these features been available at launch, there wouldn't have been much use for them (or at least as much as there is now) and it would have cost a lot more. MS has not been shy about saying they are going to give consumers the best product for the money, and offer upgrades when available. I wouldn't be surprised if when this is launched, an HDMI cable is also going to be made available for owners of the current 360. but the question i ask you is, why did MS say we dont need HDMI or a bigger HD like what 8-9months ago, to counter PS3 hd space and HDMI. now they are saying we need it? are they trying to future proof a product now? I trusted MS word and bought it . felt comfortable with my purchase. NOw MS comes out a year later pretty much stating what they said before is bunch of BS.[QUOTE="mjd1001"][QUOTE="T-Zone"]Now, it seems that MS doesnt really care about its gamers, if they just gon giive up on the first 360. Take a look at the original Xbox, after the 360's release. The Xbox was completely kicked to the curb after a short lifespan due to 360. If this happens again, then Version 2, would be more focused on...alfy13
Well, you could find this same fault with the PS3. Sony stating they needed two HDMI ports, but no rumble. Sony added motion sensor to it controller at the last minute after Nintendo announced theirs month earlier. All 3 of these companies are competing with each other and will try to outdo each other whenever possible. Never take their comments as hardcore fact, because they will change those comments months or even years down the road. Gamers complained about now have HDMI right after the XBox360 was launched. They complained about not have enough HD space. So M$ has listened to the gamers and added these things to their system. Better they add in now then 2yrs from now. The majority of this upgrade isn't even needed. You can still get 1080p with component cables anyways. The only real plus with HDMI is better digital sound.
