Don't need a link. Ryse was never targeting 60fps. The graphics downgrade is obviously a sacrifice to hit a steady 30fps.

If you havn't seen any reports of 30fps or have a link to back it up it's not better than xbox fans making up number or using the cloud argument to suggest x1 will be equal or more powerful then PS4.

Opinions are fine, but don't make up numbers or try to make something look worse than what it is unless you can prove it.

900p (1600 x 900) upscaled to 1080p (1920 x 1080).

Confirmed now is Forza 5 at 1080p/60fps, Ryse at 900p/30fps, Killer Instinct at 720p/60fps and unconfirmed is Dead Rising supposedly having a dynamic resolution at 30fps.

1080p vs 720p is different. Just look at Battlefield 3. Everything is better, tighter, clearer.

As for 720p, it is fine for most cases

In BF3 case, the assets were for 720p and looked horrid in 1080p in a clear PC screen (better in a TV though)

I have to admit next gen 1080p will be more important, due to REAL 1080p detailed assets, but 900p seems fine as well

my pcs been plugged into a plasma for ages to get the best possible image quality, bf3 looks most excellent at 1080p i can assume you. plus i cant even find anything on this bf3 assets being made with 720p in mind. especially since 1440p exists and initially bf3 had pc as lead console, ps3/360 got lead later

Edge was right and Tormentos was right all alone,i wonder if certain lemming who like to pretend that both consoles will perform the same will now believe be,if you target great graphics on xbox one something got to give to achieve 30 FPS i call it 100 times,in this case resolution was given in order to achieve 30 FPS with current graphics on Ryse,the sad part is that Killzone SF look better runs at 30FPS 60FPS multiplayer and is 1080p.

Now people may understand why MS made a GPU and CPU upgrade the specs are lame,and before the upgrade the console was having a truck load of problems keeping up with the PS4.

900p is a 30,55% pixel count reduction compared to 1080p

So much hype for X1 games and the only one that manages to do 1080p is a currentgen-like racing game using high res textures.

Its really sad...

Knowing that it's the same kind of game that GOW3 is on PS3 Ryse doens't seem that impress.  Maybe we should blame Crytek for being crap devs on consoles, but then again xbox fans said they produeded the best looking graphics on 360 (tho still sub-hd)

Visual bugs aside, it does look pretty nice visually, all things considered. Funny thing is, by the end of the generation, more and more PS4 games will be sub 1080p, and resolution suddenly won't matter as much.

I feel like I have done an adequate job of warning the Lemmings to stay away from these power arguments.  Now, all they can do is own themselves.  Oh well!  At least it is funny as shit to watch :)

That's pathetic, but keep in mind that it takes time until developers become accustomed to a new generation of console hardware. They probably stumbled upon a potentially time consuming issue that prevented the game to have a flawless performance at 1080p, and lowered it a little. Who knows?
