Scariest Video Game Enemies of ALL TIME!

I nominate SOVEREIGN. Sovereign is the a massive squid-like dreadnaught warship in Mass Effect. Soveriegn is a sentient AI that leads hordes of Geth into space combat. It's mammoth black hull and tentacle-like 'legs' (not to mention a sinister super-laser) are the perfect conduits for itsmalicious goal: destroying all organic civilizations in the Milky Way.

The concept of Sovereign is just terrifying. And that's why I nominate 'it' for one of the scariest enemies of all time slots.

Also I agree with the first post - Sovereign, but I think it's more psychological.

The Splicers from BioShock could be fairly horrific at times, too.

Honestly the entire game is not scary, but the funny thing is, when you encounter these things they scare you more than any other game, ever. They are so freakishly horrible and repulsive - the way they flop through windows and dive from the floor to your neck with their teeth and the way they breathe and move...

Also Crimson Heads personally scare me a fair bit since they are so damned difficult to kill and when you reach over to burn the zombie there is always the question: will he become a crimson as I do this and attack me?

Only thing that was scaring about those was that I missed the thermal scope on my first playthrough.. I had too use nearly all my ammo every time I faced those lol. Actully the game was an infinite amount ahrder when I played it on normal then when I played it on hard for that reason among others.

Anything in silent hill is scary cause of the perfect atmosphere that game creates but pyramid head was that one thing you just would never want to meet in person ;)

Bioshocks Splicers also give me the jibes - the stuff they say. Kinda like Shock 2s mutatants.

The sound they made..... Sends shivers down my spine thinking of them. And how they slowley approached you jittering and shaking - or when you blew off their legs - and the would lunge at your throat.

The spiders would make me jump sometimes.

This isn't particularly an enemy, but Occoco (or whatever it's called) from TP really, really creeped me out. A chicken with a human head is one thing I would never want to see in reality...
