Wow that's pretty sad. I always think of vaporware when I hear anything about the Last Guardian. It's been in development how long now. How many millions did Sony pour into this title. This franchise isn't that popular either. It does have a niche audience though. I don't know. No one I know is excited for this game anymore. If it ever does come out. I'll be like millions of others waiting for it become used in the bargain bins.
I think it will come out as just 'Last Guardian' in order to avoid confusion with 'The Last of Us'
I think thats why they may have 'abandoned' that Trademark

I don't think TLG is vaporware but this DC here is just WOW

Alot games get cancelled when they get stuck in developer hell. If this one gets canned it wont be surprising, take from that what you will. There will be alot of DC from people looking forward to the game.
Whislt some people sad as they are will actually be happy about this.
Some lems probably are. But to them this game sounded stupid anyway, only games with big muscular men and guns are cool yo.Hope some people aren't actually happy about this

no cause I was semi looking forward to it some what but I will be laughing for a while about this unless its shown its false or the game isn't canceled.Hope some people aren't actually happy about this

[QUOTE="Bazooka_4ME"]FAAAAAAIIIL.... Did ICO Collection collected enough funds for it?Gue1
it sold 710,000. If that's bad or good for a collection I don't know.
I'd say have Sony turn the project over to Media Molecule or Santa Monica.Honestly there was so little information about it that anyone seriously excited about it were probably just hyping themselves up at the possibilities.Hope some people aren't actually happy about this

This really pisses me off. What the hell is Sony Japan doing? How can Nauthy Dog put out 3 Uncharted games, Insomniac put out 3 Resistance games and Japan can barely get out GT5 and hardly anything else? I mean really what do Polyphony and Team ICO do?
slaves
Japanese developers got burned bad this gen. They were completely unprepared for it. Only reason Nintendo didnt get destroyed was because they focused on casuals and used last gen tech.
This is a very good point. Their western studios are putting out tons of great games. Their Japanese don't seem to be doing much. This really pisses me off. What the hell is Sony Japan doing? Well if they really did cancel this game then I'm sure quite a few of Team ICO's employees were fired or left. This really pisses me off. What the hell is Sony Japan doing? I hope this isn't actually the case and this is from before they updated with the extra devs chipping in. Can't see it being cancelled after such a long time
if this does turn out to be true then wtf is the dev team good for? are they just sitting around with there thumbs stuck up there ass, or what...
If I was a developer, I'd want to work on the Last Guardian. 2pm. Go to work. Sit around play cards, 3pm go get a late lunch, have some beers, 4pm Go home. Relax. lol

I suspect they were just too ambitious and the development suffered for it. Heck, they even called Santa Monica to help fix an issue, which I assume it hasn't worked out. The same thing happened with Metal Gear Rising when they called Platinum Games.
lol they've been basically rushing development for like half a gen. You don't want to work there. :PIf I was a developer, I'd want to work on the Last Guardian. 2pm. Go to work. Sit around play cards, 3pm go get a late lunch, have some beers, 4pm Go home. Relax. lol

wouldn't be surprised if this was part of Sony's new structuring plan, namely: Games can't have long development cycles and they have to be able to turn a profitrilpasIf this means we'll see a new GT every 2-3 years instead of 5-7 then sure. There's no excuse for This game, Agent and FF Versus. As someone else has mentioned other developers have put out quite a few games all good and sure you can argue that they aren't all as "unique" as TLG, but that really isn't an excuse, more like bad management. Something which is odd though is how it isn't even 2 months since we heard that it was still in development.

Or Rare games? Or Fable? (I suppose you could be muscular in Fable if you wanted...)Hope some people aren't actually happy about this
