September 2021 Nintendo Direct; Bayonetta 3 in 2022; Final Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC character unveiled on 10/5

A new Nintendo Direct presentation for September 2021 will air tomorrow, September 23, Nintendo has announced. The 40-minute presentation will primarily cover Switch titles launching this winter.

The presentation will air at the following times:

– 3 PM PT

– 6 PM ET

– 11 PM in the UK

– 12 AM in Europe

Excellent. Will definitely be watching this tomorrow.

Well, Switch does plan on releasing a new controller soon but has been secretive about what it is. Maybe this will shed some light on it. I've heard speculation they're going to add new systems to their retro libraries, maybe some handheld stuff and possibly also Nintendo 64 stuff.

Biggest rumor I saw is N64 games. FCC filing for controller that is likely an N64 Switch controller.

Last Smash Ultimate character

Trailers for Metroid, Mario Party, Advance Wars, and Pokemon.

Beyond that who knows? My biggest hopes are news on the Hollow Knight sequel and Windwaker/Twilight Princess.

Please announce N64 Online so I can play Pokémon Puzzle League, Diddy Kong Racing, & even Megaman Legends on it.

If HD Twilight Princess is announced, I want motion controls added back in.

Any information on Breath of the Wild 2 would be great.

These are so cringe to watch. The cringiest gaming related shows around (unless Ubi/EA shows count). When i watch one, it feels to me that they're talking to kids.

I am not sure what I want to hear about but I hope it's good. Bayonetta 3 or if that N64 game thing happens my fingers are crossed for some Tetrisphere 64. Surely Metroid Dread will be talked about but I'd love to know where a new Prime game stands. Heck, I'd take a Prime Trilogy re-release at this point.

I hope the rumour of a new Xenoblade being announced is true. the timing would be right at least since 2 was released in 2017 with the torna expansion being released in 2018. Xenoblade DE was made by a small team apparently leaving the rest to work on the next Xenoblade.

Xenoblade 2 was a dud but everyone gets a dud. Hopefully Monolithsoft are back on form. i'm also hoping more for a XCX2 (more exploration rather than story focused). Also a port of XCX would also be great for those who didnt get to play it (which would be most switch owners).

Disappointment awaits! I joke, hopefully we'll get something good.

I'm waiting for anything Nintendo switch related my switch is gathering dust this year.

I'd be happy with a Twilight Princess/Windwaker combo HD port.

I'd also enjoy a new Four Swords, Starfox Adventures and F-Zero.

Please announce more $60 direct ports. This is what gaming is all about.

Unless they are announcing another Xenoblade game or Xenoblade Chronicles X to the switch I don't care. Oh boy if they announce N64 games to the switch then it proves how out of touch Nintendo has become with the Switch and their consumers.

Metroid Prime 4, Bayonetta 3 and/or Breath of the Wild 2 - give us more information, Nintendo. These are the only games people want to hear about.

Nintendo can release a mega holiday game tomorrow and sweep up all the GOTY awards, but none of that will matter if it's not any of three I mentioned; people will nonetheless ask where those games are hiding.

Do what's right, Nintendo. Don't leave the world hanging for years on major-hyped games.

I don’t think we’ll see anything on Metroid Prime 4 as they’ll want to have the spotlight on Metroid Dread right now.

Hopefully we’ll finally see something on Bayonetta 3.

Not sure if we’ll see anything more on Breath of the Wild 2 but that would be great for sure.

Hopefully there’ll be another surprise celebrating The Legend of Zelda this year.

Would love to see a Xenoblade Chronicles 3 reveal.

Will no doubt see more on Metroid Dread, the Switch OLED model, an addition to the Online service which will most likely be N64 games and an N64 controller. Only 1 hour and 15 minutes to go. Getting very hyped.

@jaydan: Would absolutely love a Metroid Prime Trilogy announcement as well but I’d expect them to do that sometime after Dread releases and before MP4 comes out. Would certainly help to get folks “Primed” for MP4. 😜

@Archangel3371: I could also see a Metroid rep as the final Smash DLC character. It would be suitable timing. Most people are hyping for a 3rd-party character and not really thinking of Metroid reps, but if that was the case I'm sure most people would be down for more Metroid in Smash.

Hoping for 10-15 GBA games or N64 games for a new online app or some old collections with those games in em.

/crosses fingers nintendo has so much legacy content they really need to get iit on the switch stat.
