Price?
Blue-ray?
Backward Compatability?
Games?
So far it seems like they totally missed the mark on a lot of things. I'm sure in about a year or so they will get in line but man that's a bad way to get thigns started.

I was under the impression that Sony did do Backward Compatability right. and that Blue-ray was good. and it has been my experience that the 360 library was crap until the following summer, 6 months later. And yes.... the price does suck.
[QUOTE="ramey70"]Your controller must suck then. I haven't had a disconnect the entire time I've owned mine and it's a launch system.BgrngodIt happens with both controllers. Choice A) controllers cut out occasionally (I personally haven't had one INSTANCE of this occuring) Choice B) seeing the red ring of lights (see sig) and having an expensive paperweight on my entertainment rack hmmm hmmm you are right...I think B is the way to go
[QUOTE="Nike_Air"]People can buy whatever they want , Sony is not forcing you to buy one. Is Microsoft forcing you to pay to play games online ?

No red rings of death, and no scratched disks. I'll trade you my PS3 for your PS3! Then I would be all set.

whether u want blu-ray movies or not...its still a pentionally good format for games down the road.UptownBy the time it's absolutely necessary as a format for games (which it really isn't right now) it (and similar technologies) should be much cheaper.
I guess the PS3 is good at being a less expensive blu-ray player though, at the moment at least.
But if you're into HD movies, you'd probably be better off getting something that plays both HD-DVD and Blu ray right now, until there is a clear victor in the format war. If you absolutely need that sort of thing...

Sony PR guy in Training?
br />Both Sony and Microsoft would have been better off putting a triple or quad layer DVD drive (These do exist don't they?) into the systems. This would have solved the "for games" issue, and the PS3 would have been cheaper.
