it would be foolish for sega to make the shenmue 3 (if its real) an exclusive to any console. They should push to put it on as many platforms as possible

Since they are in talks with Sony I can see them going PC/PS4 since Sony gives a flying fuvk about cross development between consoles and PC with non first party games similar to No Man's Sky and Street Fighter v. That is actually more likely to happen than PS4/XB1

I've waited too goddamn long for this.
It's gotten to the point where I've basically become a casual. Buying 2-3 big releases a year, buying the annual edition of Madden and NBA 2K, and spending about $80-100 in total during the Steam summer and winter sales.

Kickstarter is likely capable of producing more funds for a cult title than either Sony or MS would be willing to front.
It only takes Sony's E3 stage time to make the announcement and the funding deluge follows.
Glad to see it being made since it seems to be so beloved, but I tried playing the second one on my old xbox and I never got very far because I found it boring.
In any case, I look forward to Kotaku & Polygon's articles regarding the "implicit racism" surrounding the lacking representation of white people in the Shenmue titles; lest they continue to be labelled as the muckraking, moronic hypocrites that they are.
@uninspiredcup: I will never donate to any Kickstarter campaign.
I have donated to about 18 so far and for me personally it has been an amazing and worthwhile experience...but then again i do my research and am careful about what i put my money on :)
