I didn't say you were, did I? Also, you can be a fan of a certain company and STILL own the 'rival' consoles. For instance, I am an avid PC gamer, but I also own a plethora of consoles.

Bought an extended warranty on all two consoles, going to cover the X360 once the three years run out.

Good job MS as long as it makes you & your loyal fans feel better... shouldnt the 5 million gap in units shifted worry you slightly though, cause mid last year it was like 10 million or more.. and remember you did deliver some great exclusives and a better online non-free service... i wonder with MGSIV, Resistance2 etc etc who will be lagging in last place... so a good game is judged by the no. of A's it gets from reviewers... ohh thats interesting, so if FFXIII gets 10/10 and a guy really hates rpg's you think it makes any difference... or if Uncharted got a 2/10 mark you think i would have enjoyed less that beautiful, action packed game ??? eeehh lemmings lemmings lemmings...

They could not make everyone pay for their repairs for an inherent design flaw from day 1. Microsoft did this to keep in favour with the public and to keep the consoles running so gamers would spend money on games, not repairs. They probably avoided serious class action suits by doing so. What's not good is the fact they did not pull any of the unrevised hardware from shelves, even the elites and in doing so handed the trouble to the consumer to deal with.

The PS2 i can agree with. They've had laser issues with most of the revisions of the hardware, the slimline V12 has horrible laser life if you play normal DVD's, lucky i got a V14. It really surprises me Sony got the PS3 out with no thermal issues and no laser hicupps for a new optical technology.

the industry is not split into consoles and pc gaming its all part of one giant gaming entertainment industry. Microsoft did plenty of things for consoles like create a unified online service

No, but it could have been a hell of a bigger negative, which is something people are wanting to overlook. MS is currently handling the situation, and are not making the consumers pay money for their mistakes.

Good for you, I had to pay out the nose for the two times I had to send it off to Sony's repair center. The vast majority of gamers don't have a Gamestation in their towns.

Once again, the fact the hardware defect rates are high is regretable but at least MS isn't charging us for them.

i never said they didnt contribute all companys did something for the industry, they just were not that special on all ends sony, microsoft and nintendo

PS2? Still outsells the 360.
PS3? Recently started outselling the 360, and surpassed it in Europe - not to mention Japan.
PSP? I dunno if it outsells the DS, but it's certainly taken away market share. I think it is outselling the DS in Japan right now.
