Microsoft has already address the RROD several times. Where have you been? Under a rock the past year. You guys keep brining up RROD and Microsoft is already fixing the issue. You COW keep acting like the problem hasn't been addressed. IT HAS. Several #$%#&*^ times by M$. They offered 3 year Warranty. They added a cooper cooling rod and a cooler CPU. They will be bringing out the cooler GPU (Jasper) in Sept to fix the RROD permanently. The RROD has been addressed, so please give it a REST. Yes, it gets defended my lemmings because the issue is already been worked on, yet this is the only things COWS can bring up against the XBox 360. Very sad. When is Sony's going to address all those #$%@& delays and broken promises they've made over the last 2 years? When are they going to release a AAAE game for goodness sake? It's been almost 2 years. When is Sony going to offer movies, T.V. and music downloads on their PSN network? They own lots of music and movies, so why don't we have that yet?

So they has a few failed attempts to fix RROD. Things like this take time. Fixing a hardware problem is one thing. Promising your blindly loyal customers something and not keeping the promise is another.

And they knew that it was wrong to charge for their errors, so they quickly made all 360's have a 3 year warranty. Again, they could have easily made everyone pay for the repairs to this day, but they didn't. Would that makes things better? You're going to have to wait a week or two to get your console back. Is it really that horrible? Play your Wii, or PS3, or PC.

It took Sony 3 years to fix the DRE problem in the PS2 and to date, there are new systems (I'm talking about the slim models) that can't read dual layered discs. So I guess that just makes the PS2 a horrible console too right? :roll:

If you honestly think the RROD problem will never be fixed, then you obviously don't know as much about it as you think you do. You can't honestly think hardware designers at Microsoft isn't busting their asses to find a way to fix their problem. Last I checked, the Falcon chipset have a drastically reduced failure rate compared to older models.

The point is, why have a faulty 360 if you already have those other consoles. darkIink

Because 100% of 360's on the market have RROD'ed and everytime we boot it up we play scared like little kids afraid of boogy man. Queen Latifah has already provided us with the information that she had a problem with the PS2 that she had to get fixed. its not as serious as people are suggesting! also the three year warranty is sweet.and with the falcon processor the problem is fixed I think. although sucks to be someone who bought it at launch.coz after three years what will they do? really shoddy work from ms.but its not a issue now.

I think the month that bluray won the format war I think gamepro had a ms guy in there saying it was stupid for sony to put bluray in the ps3 not knowing it they would win lol. And for that guy to talk about sales in this last rant just shows how stupid the heads of ms are getting when the ps3 is starting to flex its muscle. And for anyone to throw in the argument of the ps3 missing its launched date is just as stupid when the 360 is just now fixing a problem that if they would have tested and found the 360 would have been delayed until just this year and really missing its release date if they didn't want the rrod failure rate that the 360 has.

And what is really sad is if only thing the 360 guys can throw out there is broken promises from sony then yea yall are really getting desperate lol. And I mean REALLY GETTING DESPERATE. Cause where I sit I have a great console, plenty of games I play actually 11 games in my ps3 library and more to come. Aswell as about 15 bluray movies I enjoy. I don't have to worry about buying mandated $120 wifi adaptor, $170 160gig hd, $100 ms steering wheel, $50 online fee, batteries for my controller lol or whatever else ms can nickel and dime me on.

360 guys need to be gentle about the movie downloads and such cause really you should thank sony for allowing ms to contract some of their entertainment to xbl :). Thanks the money will be well spent toward our free service :) lol.

Exactly. Should we just pretend this whole fiasco never happened? Of course not. Many people had to pay at first for Microsoft's mistake, and it was totally careless of them to let something so serious get into the first retail models. But the situation has for the most part been rectified, and the three year warranty is a definite plus.

MS hasn't really done anything to fix their RRODs even with their new falcon and jasper chipset.. There are still Xbox 360s out there RRODing which it shouldn't even...

The biggest problem I see with RROD is that once your 3 year warranty runs out, get RROD and thats it. You have to buy another 360.

exactly, most of the lems arguments are gone not, all they can say is home is delayed, and KZ2 is delayed. I dont see the argument for Z2 looking bad becuase it does not, onl a fanboy who can get the game would say that.

the ps3 has games, a low faliure rate , the PSN is now improving, features are added to the ps3 to make it better every so often, multiplats now look as good as 360 versions. what left is there?

Yeah Falcons chance of getting it according M$ was 9%, down from the pre-falcon estimate of 30%. Thats a significant improvement. PS3's hardware failure rate if I remember right is around 6%, 3% off from 360. Whats there to complain about. I know people who have Falcons who got RROD, turned there 360 off on the on again and have since been playing on the same system for months. As careless as ever might I add leaving the damn thing on for a few days at a time sometimes. So the Falcons are quite a step up reliability wise. Anyone who bought a 360 since last August has nothing to complain about.

exactly, most of the lems arguments are gone not, all they can say is home is delayed, and KZ2 is delayed. I dont see the argument for Z2 looking bad becuase it does not, onl a fanboy who can get the game would say that.

Nintendo has Mario, Xbox has Halo, Playstation has.....lots. It has Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, Team ICO, Resistance, Killzone and Little Big Planet. All of which you cannot find on a PC. The biggest problem I see with RROD is that once your 3 year warranty runs out, get RROD and thats it. You have to buy another 360.

Yeah Falcons chance of getting it according M$ was 9%, down from the pre-falcon estimate of 30%. Thats a significant improvement. PS3's hardware failure rate if I remember right is around 6%, 3% off from 360. Whats there to complain about. I know people who have Falcons who got RROD, turned there 360 off on the on again and have since been playing on the same system for months. As careless as ever might I add leaving the damn thing on for a few days at a time sometimes. So the Falcons are quite a step up reliability wise. Anyone who bought a 360 since last August has nothing to complain about.

Problem is, you need to get the falcon model to get that estimated 9% failure rate. What about people who don't have the falcon model, which is probably the majority at this point? That probably brings the average failure rate to maybe a 25% chance if you include all the MS hardware out right now using the 30% failure estimate. That is still not so good. Also, does buying a 360 after August guarentee a falcon model? I'm not sure if they removed older models from circulation, but that would be a good thing if they did.

i cant agree more with this thread MS needs to fix their own problems before they start bashing sony. at least when you turn your ps3 on its going to work.

I have no idea haha.. It would be good if it did. I've heard possibilities ranging from the sent 360 getting repaired, getting refurbished, and getting new 360s. Hopefully the RROD also happens before the 3 years is up.

they got standard hard drives in consoles, pushed online gaming further than the dreamcast for consoles, made a decent controller with little triggers. Which this gen sony has just nabbed the best bits from the Wii mote and the 360 controll and slaped it into the wasted duel shock.

Put Direct X onto consoles to enable developers an easy use libary of effects for games,

It took Sony 3 years to fix the DRE problem in the PS2 and to date, there are new systems (I'm talking about the slim models) that can't read dual layered discs. So I guess that just makes the PS2 a horrible console too right? :roll:

If you honestly think the RROD problem will never be fixed, then you obviously don't know as much about it as you think you do. You can't honestly think hardware designers at Microsoft isn't busting their asses to find a way to fix their problem. Last I checked, the Falcon chipset have a drastically reduced failure rate compared to older models.

as for dre, that problem wasn't nearly as bad as what the 3rod situation is. not only was it less common, but it was an incredibly easy fix anyway. i should know as I've repaired about 9 myself. sry, but I don't have links or facts to back this claim up...
