Oh btw, play Crysis with 512 MB of RAM and tell me how good it looks. If you think Crytek is going to squeeze out even high-PC Crysis 1 graphics, you are out of your mind.Hahadouken
For starting you wont have to loose 600mb duo to Windows boot on consoles. Also you cant possibly compare console ram and PCs.Look at the most simple example,my old PC had 1gb or ram,6600gt and amd 3500+ and i ran San Andreas on high(1024x728,2xaa and i had 40fps with drops here and there) while ps2 had absolute sh** of gfx card, cpu was laughable outdated and 32 mb of ram,yes 32mb!And it still ran fine, yes low settings and all,but non the less it had 35 times less ram then my PC but it still ran it fine.
Now this consoles are much closer to PC in terms of power then they were in earlier gens. Both cpus will be able to do all the computing, physics a.i and such and cell will be left some for helping RSX.Both have 512 mb,while low for PCs it certainly will be enough for Crysis 2 if used correctly.Gpus are also good, xenos is good however you put it and RSX while Cevat said its low end compared to PC and 360 gpu it will get some help from Cell.
So again...you cant compare game on PC made for 10 billion hardware combinations and game optimized for fixed hardware.I can tell you that you could make better looking game then crysis on fixed hardware made of quad core,1gb of ram and 4850,no doubt about it.
