so i wasn't going to get one so soon, but the deal gamestop is offering was just too good to pass up i HAD to do it

i got $100 for my system and controller

$30 for just a measly 20GB HDD

and an extra $25 bonus credit for trading in hardware which was another promotion they had going on

that's $155 for just a LAUNCH pro 360

i was gonna wait til my launch 360 RROD'd for it's last time, but i figured i'd get $155 out of my launch pro instead of getting zero for it once it died finally

so instead of paying $300 in the future...i only paid $150 and ultimately twas a good investment IMO

so anyone else trade their old 360's in or just buy a 360S today?

Me: Oh yeah it works totally these 2 360's, except there is no 12v source.

Oh and the other one, it has broken traces... and the gpu solder is loose. Other than that, they are perfect :D

yea...my friend is a great talker and he talked the gamestop employee for holding two consoles for the both of us for an hour while we got stuff ready....they only got like 10 in

yea i'm sure they would....really though if you have a USB just use that

all you REALLY need is your saves....everything else is tied to your account and you can just download again

it'll save you $20 on the transfer kit

idk i didn't give em mine...i just brought two of my own normal batteries to have them test the controller

I wonder if I can also trade in my Wii at GameSpot. It still works perfectly but the top lid got torn off and on a side it has like 3 stickers (I don't know what I was thinking)Arbiterisl33t69

Oops accidently deleted my post. Anyway, I was looking at their site, and it looks like they just add all the stuff you trade in. Pretty cool. I think I'll do it, hopefully they will have some in my area.

It looks like I'm going to only pay $77 to get it. :D I think I'm going to sell my MW2 and some old PS3 basket ball game, I wonder how much more that would substract off.

hmm idk...i'd call and ask or just try to get away with it and hope the battery pack hold a charge long enough for them to play around for 5 minutes...lol

my battery pack doesn't even hold 2mins worth of charge anymore

yea the cables have to go with it, but you get new ones, so i don't matter....the power adapter is completely different for the 360S anyway

but yea...you really ONLY need to transfer your saves...do not worry about DLC or arcade games as those are tied to your account and you can just download them again for your download history

and to transfer your profile just go to "memory" then "profiles" then copy your profile to the USB

I thought about it until I realized I'd be paying $150 for a quieter console with a larger hard drive. Would have no use for the wifi. And frankly I don't think I'd have much use for the hard drive either. So, ehh...I'll live with the noise and save the money for the 3DS instead.

yea there is a formatting option under system settings....wipes everything completely out

I kind of want one but I currently have the MW2 edition xbox 360 with a 250gig HDD. Would probably still have to pay around 150 on top of the trade in to get the new 360.

yea you won't need the controllers as there is no promotion for the wii right now...just the console will be fine BUT the consoles must come with the cables

so basically you can keep the controllers, but if you trade in the wii idk why you'd wanna keep the controllers

but yea...i wouldn't, nintendo announced some amazing games for the wii and it's totally worth keeping

yea i understand...it's not really for everyone right now IMO, but for me that opportunity was one i couldn't pass up because

• I upgraded from a 20gb HDD to a 250gb
• I gain an HDMI slot because the launch 360's did not have them
• I had no warranty left so if it RROD'd i'd get nothing for it
• It's much quieter, smaller and cooler
• I don't have to have a cord running into another room for internet and there was no way i was ever gonna buy an adpater
• I get a better newer controller and a new mic instead of my crappy 3rd party mic

so yea...for $150 bucks of my money i gained ALOOOOOOOT from this deal

i got $12 extra with my EDGE card...which i totally forgot to add, lmao!

and tax was like around that much i believe...so the EDGE card should pay your tax
