[QUOTE="Sooshy"][QUOTE="FrozenLiquid"]You've never heard Denis Dyack speak about games?

Really...... this is the game to lead all games into being the "Eigth Art", alongside movies, painting, dance etc.

You haven't been paying attention to Too Human outside E3, have you?

FrozenLiquid

I've been paying attention to gameplay details, but not whatever the hell you're talking about.

Game play can only go so far in video games.

Game play is the "visual effects" of movies. Back when films first appeared, all you needed was someone doing something wicked on screen, and that's enough.

Now days, you cant do that.

http://blogs.ign.com/silicon-knights/

You will not see any developer talk about games like this today.

Dude, will you listen to yourself talk? You're totally falling into the hype for this game. When it eventually comes out, it's just going to be another video game. You're going to kill dudes, get new items and armor, upgrade stats, and whatever else.

Peter Molyneux does the same all the time.

76. The problems created by Epic's withholding of such enhancements and
optimizations on the dubious grounds of them being "game-specific" became especially
pronounced when such withholding impacted the specific benchmarks known as "Technical
Certification Requirements" (or "TCRs") that every videogame must meet before it can be
played on a particular game console. For example, Microsoft imposes certain TCR's for games
that are to be run on the Xbox 360. One very basic TCR is simply how long it takes the
videogame to start-up. For Silicon Knights, as of May, 2006, the Engine had been unable to
meet even that simple start-up requirement, still taking over twice as long as Microsoft requires
in its Xbox 360 TCRs.

77. Another of Microsoft's TCRs is that the system User Interface ("UI") can be
rendered at least every 66 milliseconds at all times. As of at least as late as May, 2006, it was
clear to Silicon Knights that the Engine and its renderer could not satisfy that TCR.

78. However, when Epic was asked what was being done to bring the Engine into
compliance with these fundamental TCR requirements from the Xbox 360 manufacturer (which
again, Epic warranted to Silicon Knights it would meet), Epic responded that, though it was at
that very time working toward meeting the TCRs in Gears of War, that level of functionality
would not "make it to the engine level, as it is custom to the game."

but wait, there's more

BIA: Hell's Highway - delayed
Bioshock - delayed
Elveon - delayed/cancelled
Fatal inertia - delayed
Huxley- delayed
Mass effect - delayed
MOH - delayed
Stranglehold - delayed
Too human - delayed
Turok - delayed
Frame City Killer - cancelled
Endless Saga - cancelled

im beginning to think because of all of epic's fanboy love, some people really aren't well versed in SK's roots

these are developers who know howto write an actual story

Vylence

That seems daming to me, if its true.

But which games doesn't get delayed these days anyways?

Too Human looks like trash and I feel sorry for those who hype it. Maybe they should worry about their atrocious combat and HORRENDOUS camera angles before they point the finger at other people. I don't see Ubisoft complaining about Rainbow Six Vegas (or anything else for that matter). I tend to side with Epic on this at first glance. It looks like a huge case of attempted damage control over what is looking as though it is destined to be a piss poor product (Too Human that is).

I wonder if all the other developers using the engine also experienced the same "Difficulties"

Rainbow Six doesn't look good either, and from what I've read it's like Epic is sabotaging the competition.

also of fanboyim in this threa. almost all of you guys are taking sides, just because of one line a guy said. like come on. we dont know whs right or wrong. and SK, is bascially sueing for a good reason if its true. That they were not promised the engine they paid for in the beginning. so stop with taking sides. it can go either way. lets just see what happens. personally i think jack **** is gonna happen from this, and Too Human will be delayed yet again.

Arcording to gamespots recent news article, they are actually accusing Epic Games for all of what you just mentioned. Epic have stunted the producing of this game for their own sake.

This is starting to spiral out of control.

You guys and gals need to step back and take the neutral position. The claims laid out in the filing are just that, claims. Wait for the courts to settle this or a settlement to occur before jumping at each company's necks.

The only thing right now that gives this filing and credence is the fact other developers *might* be having issues with the UE3 engine also. So far the only other dev I have seen saying they are having issues is Koei. If more come out with the same claims then I would have no qualms about anyone jumping at Epic's or SK's neck(s).

Bioware certainly seems to have gotten results from the engine. It'll be up to the court to decide wether or not the engine is the source of the problems, of if SK simply wasn't good at utilizing it.

I will really laugh at all the losers if Gamespot gives Too Human a 9.5. I know it will be a AAA game and still the 360 fanboys aren't able to see the great promise of it. I have saw Eternal Darness and I know what SK can do by their own... Own engine and own talent.

It's a shame that I will not experience my most anticipated title in a long time while some idiots are claiming that Epic is all right...

Seriously, if you take out bioshock, what look like better than GoW.. no game... and why Ubisoft Montreal build the entire Assassin Creed engine while they were having experiences with the UR3 engine... I found the answer to be plain simple... it sucks.

either which way, I sincerely hope Too Human doesn't become vaporware

what a waste of time that would be.
