Well deserved.

I should get this game but I have been burnt before by space games.

Anyone played it and could give an impression?

Yup great game, alittle slow for me ... though I like TBS games ... this doesnt seem to excell at either.

I would personally give it an 8.0.

Another AAA for the PC. That never happens.

I bought Sins a while back. Excellent game. Anybody who's remotely into strategy games needs to check it out. It's slower-paced than your average RTS game, but it's more fast-paced than the likes of Civilization, and it's a mix of the two game types. Good stuff.

And it isn't just Gamespot, btw. The game's got an 87 metacritic score right now with 6 reviews, and that's not including the GS review, which will bump that up.

Well it looks like Subrosian is going to be a very happy person.

Anyway, I really need to purchase this game one of these days.

Oh, and for System Wars' sake, here is yet another PC exclusive that will never be on consoles.:P

And this is why I'm not a PC gamer. Seriously, I don't like these types of games and this is basically much of what the pc gets. I'm not saying this applies to everyone, but theres probally a good portion.

Seriously though, anyone who owns a pc can run this game. Its not like only hardcore pc gamers can play this.

This is really the first 4XRTS ever, there really isn't any other games to compare it too. It's leading the way to a subgenre for sure.

On another note, Strategy games on PC are huge, if you don't like them, don't play them. It's your loss.

Go look at the dev videos of Bad Company at planetbattlefield.com It's going to be AAA. Hermits hyping BF3 AAA before it's even announced btw isn't going to be out this year like PC gamer said it was going to be. :|

Theres tons of RTS that failed to get AAA ... your just singeling out World in Conflict & Sins of a Solar Empire, both VERY different to the usuall C&C/Dunes esque RTS ......

You have no proof about BF3, though I agree its likely.

Kind of need to play the game to make that statement. Especially for sins the learning curve is pretty steep so it requries some hours to learn all the game mechanics.

The game is made so it can run even on a Radeon 9800 so it's not that demanding.

You can buy a retail copy(digital+retailbox) on the store as well, just got my box copy in today, it looks nice and the research poster, hotkeys, and music CD is really worth it. All for the price of a regular game.

To the haters, this IS NOT an RTS, it's an RT4x game, it's like calling a tactical third person war game an FPS - not the same genre, this game plays slow and thoughtful.

Well.llok at consoles...two hack and slashes and one ultra-arcade racer this year. And it's all that consoles get bassicaly. No wonder I stick to PC mainly

RTSes are one of harshest rated genres here. This genres sees most of the times only one AAA each year, very rarely 2 AAAs, which is very litte considering how many are released every year.

yeah..it's just the most original game of the year so far (and looking at upcoming scheudle it might stay that way)
