True but they did not mention textures get close up on KZ2, also I will admit the partical effects are nice, but I am talking about the package deal and the draw distance seems larger in Gears of war 2, but at this point between the consoles it seems that they, tie? I don't know if that is possible on system wars but between these games it seems TO subjective? GEOW2, also seems to have more on screen.

I think GeOW 2 has to have more enemys on screen for its feel, It just woulden't be the same. (i mean, 3rd person, there is a larger field of view)
But really, textures on a 3rd person shooter vs a first person shooter... just not a good thing to compare, it's sort of like the weapons models "Yeah the FPS will have better weapon's models but that is because you'll be stareing at them the entire game"
Personaly i really think the volumetric smoke and lighting system is the most impressive aspect of KZ2's graphics engine.
I mean, that looks real to me.
In GeOW 2....
It's black and doesn't really look lit.
In terms of "Crap i'm going to look at a lot while in gameplay" i'd give the edge to KZ2 for these:
Bullet effects.
Grenade effects.
Lighting system.
Gun moddles.
That last point in the vid, the physical interaction with volumetric smoke. It is there, but i wouldn't say it's a big reason i like KZ2's visuals over GeOW2
Still, it has more on-screen. Which means more demanding. Ok particle effects for KZ2. Textures this really should go to GEOW2 even if you said they are un-comparable, I think the gun-models are about the same lol. I mean look at the sea monster and even just your environment, it looks very detailed while KZ2 looks more sterile(I am not saying it is sterile by any means I said more) Kz2s smoke is volumetric? Can I have a link? I saw on a vid comparing the Trailers that The 2005 one was volumetric and the newer one was not. Lighting is good on both, I think you are confusing the Particle effects with the lighting system.
