So it seems Gears of War 3 failed to defeat Uncharted 2 score...

Why people keep thinking these games are the same is beyond me. They both have 3rd person shooting/cover yes, but beyond that they play,look, and feel NOTHING alike! I wish people would realise that both these games are unique and not just the other systems version of themselves... :?

At metacritic yes, but one has to remember that standards change overtime and reviews are not always a good way to judge a games quality simply because of the nature of the reviews.

Personally, Gears of War 1 was my least favorite game until I played Uncharted: Drake's Fortune demo (which is the worst experience I have ever had gamingwise). So I couldnt care less for either series.

Well IMo anyway. But UC2 is a great game aswell. So much attention to detail, great graphics, a great little yarn.

Well did anyone really expect Gears to beat it? 96 is a DAMN hard score to beat, and most high budget games would be lucky to break the 90 mark at all.

UC2 has a better score, more praise & more GOTY awards than any GOW title.GOW3 failed to beat a 2 yr old game. Its pretty sad. It was a failure before it was even released. UC3 will be another nail in the coffin
