@AzatiS: I know that, but I misunderstood in my original post to you what your comment was referring to. So like I said before, a simple explanation instead of insulting me would have avoided this entire argument but you are ever so hostile, Az. :P

Put it this way Az, if an adult was known for wetting his pants, that would be pretty odd. It wouldn't be normal for an adult to wet his pants because every person used to wet their pants when they were babies. That analogy applied to this topic would be like saying that it is okay to call out a pirate for downloading a game even if you downloaded a game yourself before but no longer practice those beliefs. If you no longer pirate then you no longer pirate.

Yes, I can understand that but that's not what I am saying is illegal. If you read my post, I already clarified that agreement with you. The pot calls the kettle dumb, Az. Read first. :)
If you have the means to backup your games, and let me tell you that very few people have legitimate, legal means of doing so, then yes, you are allowed to backup your data. It's actually illegal to play copied games on a PS4 though since that would require hacking the machine and that is illegal but that's another topic... Some unlicensed software copying program won't do it. As Nintendo state
Q: "Are Game Copying Devices Illegal?"
A: "Yes. Game copiers enable users to illegally copy video game software onto floppy disks, writeable compact disks or the hard drive of a personal computer. They enable the user to make, play and distribute illegal copies of video game software which violates Nintendo's copyrights and trademarks. These devices also allow for the uploading and downloading of ROMs to and from the Internet. Based upon the functions of these devices, they are illegal."

So yes Az, if you own a copy of a game and have the proprietary, expensive software that is required to make legal copies of your Nintendo game, you can do it but I'm guessing you don't and instead, you're making illegal copies of your game. You don't know the nuances of copyright laws in games. Let it go. :P
