Don't need the wi-fi adapter, a blu-ray add on doesn't exists (you shouldn't make stuff up) and I already own a PS3 anyways, I do not pay 50 bucks for live (I pay 30 for a year).300 for the xbox +

This thread is pointless and lacks substance.
It actually makes sense, because it really does show what a PS3 would cost if MS made it.$100 for a blu-ray drive add on!!!!!! XD XD XD LOL !!!! ReaperV7Hey hey hey! Thats 100$ cheaper than the HD DVD add on they used to sell 3 years ago
wrong. you forgot at least a house or an apartment is needed to play xbox. add it in too.OPuniverseOh and he may need to add common sense to his little list there to.

I agree. This just proves that MS is ripping people off. All of that stuff = the PS3, and it costs over 200 dollars more!!!!!!!
@jasonharris48 you need to get outside the box that is Gamespot, check kotaku and Destructoid there you will find information about the bluray add onboba707Well I still do not need one considering I own a PS3. Also I just checked the article on kotaku you should read the article. He was referring to the instant 1080p movie streaming "Our immediate solution for Blu-ray-quality video on an Xbox 360 is coming this fall with Zune Video and 1080p instant-on HD streaming. As far as our future plans are concerned, we're not ready to comment". They didn't really say there is a blu-ray drive in the works.
No the real cost is having to hear spin like this garbage real cost threads from fanboys.i thought the cost was either $199-$299? considering to game you dont need any of those

YOur forgetting the mdoem and router for internet connection. Your house, electricity bills, the TV, the TV remote, the cables etc etc.
This is a failed logic
well what if the bluray adapter is used for gaming what are 360 owners going to do thenboba707But it isn't, so that arguement is irrelevant.
The title of this thread should bethehypothetical cost of the 360 (if you need Wifi and the BD accessory exists) would be....
300 for the xbox +
100 for wifi adapter +
100 blu-ray add-on +
50 for xbox live

Let's see...
There's an arcade model=$200.
Wi-Fi, pointless.
Blu Ray add-on, if it's decent, sure; but it's optional.
X-Box live, if you look hard enough, you can find & buy 12 month cards for much cheaper.
120 GB HDD, can get it for $100 used on Gamestop.

HE IS COMPARING IT TO A PS3!!!!!!
The only one who has failed logic is you.
Well that might be true if you really want all those neat features, but it doesn't cost anywhere near that kind of price if all you really want to do is play games.
@garland people like to have a lot of space on their consoles some peoples set up doesnt allow them to have a wired connection so wifi is not pointless imo online services shouldnt cost anything kind of a stupid argument because you just said buy a 200$ model then spend 100$ more for a 120 HDD when you could just buy a 300$ system, newboba707
So now you are admitting this whole thread is hypothetical?
You guys are missing the point!!!!!
What TC is showing is that if the 360 came out with all of the stuff that the PS3 does, then it would costs 200 dollars more than the PS3!!!
It proves that MS is ripping people off!!!!!
IMO, the greater rip off is raising an item's price by including features someone doesn't necessarily need/use. Also, the cost of a Blu-ray drive is absolute fiction on the TC's part. You guys are missing the point!!!
TC is comparing the 360 with all of that stuff. And it shows that the 360 with all of the stuff that the PS3can dowould cost 200 dollars more than the PS3 does.

The BD doesn't exist and not everyone needs Wifi. You are also implying all the extras the PS3 have are needed, when they aren't...

a lot of people need wifi. and the CEO over at microsoft said that BR players would be accessories so it may/or may not exist and no im implying that the ps3 is cheaper because it includes everything[QUOTE="Manticore7"][QUOTE="gamerlifegrace"]I now hes comparing it to a PS3, both things has these things you need to play the console hes pointing htem out and im adding to the list. Do you think a XBOX fanboy will read this and go im a cow now, thankyou boba707. Its not gonna happen. They both require add-ons and neither of those are cons or pros of the system. Just leave it at thatHE IS COMPARING IT TO A PS3!!!!!!

It can be argued that at least the 360 has choice. Some people don't need a harddrive so they can opt for the cheap arcade. Some people don't need WiFi, so they don't need the adapter. Whereas with PS3, even if you don't need or want some of the features you still have to pay the same price. Then again that argument was better before the PS3 pricecut
