So i have to buy a wifi adaptor? odd though i own one which i found for 50 bucks, I didn't know i was forced to use it Last i checked i was able buy a ethernet bridge for 30-40 bucks and it worked.

I realize what your point is. There's actually a lot of merit in some of it (the XBL price part in particular). If you had to have Wi-FI, Blu-ray and online; buying the PS3 is cheaper than the 360 and all the accessories that requires.

My problem is that you're trying to pass this off as a 'real' cost. It's not a 'real' cost. People do not NEED to buy these items. One of the prices is not 'real' in any sense of the word, it is made up.

The very criteria you've given is constructed in order to cast the cost of the 360 in a bad light is 'unreal', you add and subtract factors in order to influence the outcome.

Exactly. Wi-Fi isn't exactly all perfect as many people would think. As a matter of fact, you can get a used 120 GB HDD for around that same price, if you look hard enough. It's more useful than an expensive Wi-Fi adapter.

First off.

blueray for gaming. sony as failed to prove that it has the abilty to make better games over dvd 9. with the rare exceptions of a couple games. why blueray is better.

but until most ps3 games look better than the 360's. like all the cows say they should be.

i am not buying the blueray equals better games.

Blueray is great for movies. For what i have seen not that great for gaming.

Wirless adadotor is a rip. but you can get one for around 50ish if you look in the right places.

XBL. lord i am tried of this excuse. you can find it on amazon all the time for 40 or even 30.
