Not right away, I doubt the online will be a huge innovation over CoD4's and I'm still playing that, not to mention other hundred and one online shooters many of which I prefer over CoD's gameplay. And the SP is just too short to justifice full price for me.ManicAce

Modern Warfare didn't feel like a war at all and from what I've seen, Modern Warfar 2 isn't doing anything different. >.> Groups of terrorists with B-Grade weaponry simply cannot be compared to entire countries trying to destroy each other with everything they have. I'll pass.

Note this is all my opinion:

A game falls in the category hardcore when it can give you enough challenge to keep you hooked till the end. A game that's too easy could be fun in the beginning but then it gets boring. A hardcore game challenges you urging you to use all the skill and brains you have to complete it.

As I stated in the beginning though this is all opinion.

Also I have a question on the game that's been discussed here- maybe you or somebody here who has played CoD will help me get an answer.

- Why hasn't a cover system been implemented in this game? Wouldn't it add to the experience and to the realism. After all when soldiers are under fire they take cover....

After playing Killzone 2 I refuse to play a FPS that doesn't implement a cover system into the single player campaign.

it looks the same a cod4. but, i don't/didn't/won't have cod4 so ill most likely get this.

Lol what spamming does TF2 have? And Lol if you played the 1st cod game than say the 4th is anywhere like it then you are lying.

Cod 4 is really noob friendly. Hell if someone uses a UAV recon you know what I do? I look at the direction the red dots are and just throw grenades randomly in that direction and I get lots of kills doing such a stupid *tactic*

I'm not because I despise Activision, and their milking. I mean seriously. CoD2 gameplay redone for the second time now, and another $60 price. I'm not falling for their tricks (I didn't buy CoD4 either).

However, 10+ million casual players will be picking it up to claim they're really good at video games when in reality Modern Warfare is one of the most noob friendly shooters out there.

Wow, I thought I was going to be alone on this, but it seems many of you are tired of the same gameplay over and over again as well.

Does anyone know for sure if they are getting rid of the infinitely respawning enemies for MW2? If so then I'll probably buy it, otherwise no.

Not a chance I regret getting WaW so much. I only got it because my friend said I should even though I knew I shouldn't and we were gonna play together and then didn't even do that.

Once I got Plat and played some zombies with my friends I was done. And sold it for 30. And there is no way I'm going to pay 60 bucks for a game with MP that no longer interests me and a 5 hour SP campaign.

I'll rent it from gamefly but never ever buy it.

I doubt i'll buy it. I found BF:BC to be much better than CoD4 so BF:BC2 gets my money.

I wont be buying it. I'll play it at a friends house. They don't need my money for glorified 2002 gameplay.

Yeah, I am serious. Even though CoD came out in 03, the gameplay is still 2002 gameplay same plus health-regen.

I'm definitely buying. I actually thought the demo was awesome. I like the features I saw. I'm not sure what you people are expecting? Aliens?

I don't know. It looks like COD4 with a very few new features and a few new guns. I'll rent it I guess.

I skipped out on World At War, so I'll be getting this on day 1.

I'm not buying it. I hate the perk system. I hated that your rank didnt mean anything in COD4.

Plus single player is usually more important to me then online, and I didn't really dig the campaign in 4.

They need to seriously overhaul the way the campaign works for me to enjoy it. Running across an invisible line to stop the endless respawns of AI is not fun to me. Only thing I liked about COD4 was the steady frame rate. I would take it for free with a video card purchase though like I did with 4......

But if the reviews say my qualms have been addressed, I will surely give the game a fair chance. Another good game can't be bad even if I'm not looking forward to MW2 so far.

Not buying either.... First off I really don't want to support craptivision! And secondly they are milking COD...there does not need to be a new COD every year. Or a guitlar hero (or 8 of them a year because of craptivision) every year.... This milkage has got to stop. They will ultimalty destroy the franchise! The people who will buy will be the twitch fps only gamers that see COD and purchase it instantly. REally sad too, as I think infinity ward could do so much more, but there publisher is probably putting presure to make this. Just like Konami is doing with metal gear rising.

Real ****c sequels are somewhat different, and take more than a year to make. This is why main-line final fantasy games are so good as they make them fresh with new stories and new mechanics each time and we don't see the next one for years later. It can be the same with fps games too. Look at Doom, Half-life, Quake ...etc...
Remember what killed the Medal of Honor franchise? Releasing too many sequels... thanks craptivision.... I was just playing the orginal Medal of honor on psn last night and was surprised at how well it has held up, the graphics were of course horrid for todays standards(it' a 1998 fps), but the gameplay held up, and after the first couple games they just kept re-releasing it over and over again...until it died.
This cod4 sequel is even worse than that though as it's not even cod6 it's basically a mod using the same engine. Where is infintiy wards innovation? They used to make a new engine for each new cod and a new era in history or time-line.

Because ODST is SUPPOSED to be innovative and different to Halo 3; that was the whole point of not being a spartan.
