[QUOTE="BattlefieldFan1"][QUOTE="Miketheman83"] How is something more popular, yet it sold less? That makes no sense whatsoever.meetroid8I can understand lems have poor logic, so I'll forgive you this time and explain it again. You guys have a lot of money lying around because there are no exclusive games for the 360. So if any mediocre garbage comes out, you go out in droves to buy it. The PS3 users already bought a lot of exclusives before U3 came out, and thus a lot of them don't have a lot of cash laying around to spend. Just because there are no exclusives doesn't mean that there are no games. 360 has all of the same multiplats as PS3, many of which actually sold better on the 360. Not as many people bought U3 because not as many people are fans of the series, if they spent their money knowing that they wouldn't have the money to buy U3 then they must not care all that much about it.
Dude.. just stop..
The only place sales matter and whether or not a game is exclusive is here on SW. Other than that it's meaningless.

Thread proves that 360 and Wii are for casuals and brogamers.. Just sayin'
PAL360
Well, 360 seems to be the best console for casuals and core gamers. It gets all core games like Skyrim, Dark Souls, Mass Effects, The Witcher 2 (according to some, the most hardcore game on consoles), etc; and Kinect, which already has many A and AA exclusive games available.
Elder Scrolls is a PC series, essentially. Dark Souls is the sequel to a PS3 exclusive, lol @ Mass Effect (read my previous post in this thread as to why, and add extra lolsauce when 3 becomes the "fastest selling title in the franchise") and the Witcher is also a PC-based title. I mean seriously, don't tout the 360 as the champion of the core gamer just because it can have everyone elses leftovers, or at least come up with better examples. Convinced, I am not.The truth is that what sells big in the US market and the 360 as well as wii is casual garbage and brogamer dreck. Hell, the CoD crowd infiltrated PS3 Nirvana when Sony cut out functionality of the console to get the price in line to the mass market. All of gaming is suffering for it... Well, except on PC.

No, but what I *am* saying is that those franchises were more or less started on other platforms that *do* cater to the core gamer before being brought over to 360-ville. The lone exception to the rule in that list being Mass Effect.. Which even it's own fanbase is chomping at the bit at for becoming too casual and having a linear ending. See also my previous post with Youtube video URL.You guys are notoriously conservative in your tastes. It's part of the reason why people are capping on it so much nowadays. Hooray sales, I'll give you that. However, quality has gone out the window.

I don't think we need to address that 360 quality is gone. The fanboys might be in denial, but a large amount of people are aware and are not blinded by rating sites that suck microsoft's schlong. That's why they gave Halo:Reach a 7.6 and Gears of War 3 a 7.5. And honestly, both those scores are what those 2 mediocre games deserved. Heck, LittleBigPlanet got a 95 on metacritic, beating out every exclusive that the 360 has had, yet I think that game is garbage, even worse than halo and gears. Metacritic users gave it a 6.8 or 6.9, which I think is what the game deserves.[QUOTE="VikingStoner"][QUOTE="exiledsnake"]Since this is NPD you should also take into consideration how many 360s and ps3s are out there in america. 360 exclusives sell better in america because the install base is far larger.delta3074
Perhaps but as for 360 exclusives selling better overall? Its a myth that people continue to keep alive.
Why do all people talk about 360 exclusives like everyone of them is Halo? GT5 sold more than all 3 Gears of Wars games. Halo isn't the only 360 exclusive. Kameo, Saints Row, Dead Rising and other former exclusive franchises didn't sell nearly the amount Halo games did. Fable & Alan Wake didn't either. Uncharted 2 sold more than both those games. Really its no different than PS3. Not all PS3 exclusives sold like GT5 and not all 360 exclusives sell like Halo
GT5 Sales=7.5 million as of december 2011 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gran_Turismo_5 Gears franchise sales Gears of war=5.88 million as of november 2008 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gears_of_War Gears of war 2=over 5 million units as of may 2009 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gears_of_War_2 Gears of war 3=6 million units as of january 2012 Total=17 million units, 9,5 million units more than Gt5 Saying Gt5 outsold all 3 gears games=Stupid:)[QUOTE="Shewgenja"]No, but what I *am* saying is that those franchises were more or less started on other platforms that *do* cater to the core gamer before being brought over to 360-ville. Heck, they failed so much that even with all the fanboys giving it a 10, they only managed a pathetic 7.5 and 7.6. Both those games must have been a phenomenal disaster that even 360 fanboys had to say they were only mediocre. Don't worry, it's not too late. next gen, pick the company that doesn't rip off their costumers by charging you to play on a laggy P2P network.
It's the only argument lems have. Heck, even a lot of the lems admit their exclusives lack quality. Just check the user scores on metacritic. Also, what are they going to brag about? Oh wow, they had the RROD fiasco, so the only reason why they're leading by 2-3 mill units is because of replacements due to hardware failure? Doesn't sound very good. Not to mention the $60 fee to play on a P2P network. There's absolutely nothing to brag about and a lot of things to be ashamed about. Why do you equate a System Wars mentality with US/worldwide sales?

..sounds like sour grapes.. :?I know, it sucks. I literally can't enjoy a game unless it sells 20 million copies. I have so many games that I bought just laying around. I refuse to even take the plastic wrap off of them before they sell at least 15 million.
I tried playing games before when they didn't sell 15 million plus, and I thought I was having fun, but I went to look at the sales charts and it reminded me that I was in fact not having fun, because the game I was playing didn't sell a certain amount.
Unfortunately, I probably won't ever end up playing a lot of the games I own, because unless they sell 15 million or more, they're just not going to be fun games.
Yeah I know what you mean, when i saw that Resistance 3 didn't sell well at all it suddenly didn't have great gameplay or atmosphere and the weapons instantly became boring because i knew that not many people were enjoying them and how could they after seeing the sales, I don't blame them. The only fun games are CoD, Halo and GTA these days and even then it takes a few days for them to become fun and exciting.I know, it sucks. The weapons in that game man.....so creativeWell, I can't speak for all PS3 fans obviously, but I own/have owned UC1 and 2, Killzone 3, Demon's Souls, MGS4, Infamous, Valkyria Chronicles, LBP, and all three Resistance games. I plan on picking up GT5 XL Edition and UC3 also.
I mean, if you're going to own a PS3, at least use it correctly...
The 360 dominates in the USA because of patriotism. Of course the console with more units in the USA will have more software sales.Well, I can't speak for all PS3 fans obviously, but I own/have owned UC1 and 2, Killzone 3, Demon's Souls, MGS4, Infamous, Valkyria Chronicles, LBP, and all three Resistance games.
