Sony Computer Entertainment America's CEO blames society for PS3's problems

Find, I'll stand up for him. I think he's right that the "gaming" society wants them to fail. Everyone looks at the 360 and then says, " Why can't the PS3 be like the 360?" You know what it's better than the 360. PS standards is too high to please the new "online is the future" gamer. Truth be told, there's not that many online gamers. only 50% of 360 gamers have XBL? At least M$ is giving back 20% profit to small time developers and they replace hundreds of XBox360 for FREE. Sony would never do something like this. They would tell you to return it to the retail store and say that you broke it yourself. Then people wonder why many gamers are disgusted with Sony now. :roll:

At the end of the day, it's all just excuses. I don't care if the reason is a wide-spread aversion to shiny systems...sales are lower-than-expected---fix it or get on the short list.CubeJL

haha, this topic proves that System Wars is full of Xbox fans. This guy provided no real proof of this interview ever taking place and you all buy it like it's true. The TC claimed he posted what Tretton said word for word...yet it seems Tretton never gets to finish what he was saying....he adds "...." in the end.....sainraja

EGM: We just called 18 random locations (Best Buy, EB Games) and half of them had PS3s in stock - some as many as 20 units.

Its official, tchbo!!!! The article is printed out and mailed to subscribers and I am one of them. For those denying that Jack said those words about blaming society, you have no where to run but to a bbq of ownage.

Still, Jack needs to be careful on sales of the PS3, just because two of the generations pumped above 100 million doesn't keep you king. Thats just saying that Nintendo can combine sales of the NES to the GC and to currently the Wii to be king of the gaming industry.
