[QUOTE="derptholomew"]What in the heck are blabbering about , do you even re-read what you post before you click submit? it seriously sounds like 12 year old typed a bunch of stuff that he wants to be true and just click submit- I have a new slim 360 now what? and the stuff you posted about download size wtf are you flat out lying for? EVERYONE knows that that psn downloads are WAY slower, well anyone that have ever downloaded off live and psn that is, some poor fools have only ever used psn and had to sit through 30 minute updates while waiting to simply play a online game with a friend with a game they might not of played in a month or so, god forbid they could just turn it on and play...no they gotta wait for a long ass update, while on live the same update would take 5-6 SECONDS, yeah they are equal you keep telling yourself thattormentosI will make this fast and readable for you kid. 1-PSN updates are 180MB live ones 30MB. 2-You have a slim now more than 40 millions have fat 360. 3-Fat 360 are wifiless so no wifi ,G or N for you. 4-Wifi IS NOT A LIVE GOLD FEATURE. 5-Wifi N or G have nothing to do with online code of games. 6-Your sad.
I've never seen any post you make actually "readable," idiot fanboy.
i keep saying this ,
sony screwed up at e3 with the vita , the vita was already having problems sony is very slow at overcoming these problems pretty soon ----its only a matter of not if but when they fall ,
cause lets face it they cant keep losing money, nintendo losing money in 1 yr is one thing but for 5 streight years
! there is something wrong here especally when sony has all these other forms of making money compared to 2 for nintendo-home console and handheld lol ,
The problem is that the Japanese government is heavily in debt and it does not want to incur any more of it. It already bailed out another company, the one that owns the damaged Fukushima nuclear power plant. At this rate Sony is going to need the Japanese government to bail it out.

fun fact the ps3 and ps2 combined outsold the wii, the gamecube, the xbox 360 and the xbox combined  :lol:DrewMcintyre619
here is another fact...the ps2 was also a dvd player...the ps1 was also a cd player and the ps3 is a blu-ray player. sony forcing you to buy their product.
nintendo are strictly game consoles.
he's not inventing crap, the only time an update has taken longer than about 10 seconds to apply is if it is a system update and even then it's done in less than 5 minutes, not even the 30+ MB update for skyrim, Xbox live updates really do take just seconds, thats just my personal experience but XBL really is Fast when it comes to updating games, the bottom line is that PSN is almost as good as XBL but ultimately it still lags behind in features and is not as streamlined or as well intergrated as XBL and the fact that you have to pay for live has absolutely no bearing on the quality of the actual service itself.delta3074Dude i have a 360 and Halo Reach updates did not take seconds,OS updates are even longer, they download fast but take some time to update. MY PS3 download just as fast as my 360,but i don know PS3 updates are way bigger in many cases than 360 ones,so is not a case of faster is a case of updates been smaller. Integration doesn't cost $60 dollars a year and the sole fact alone that you have to pay for gold to even use netflix just show how sad XBL is,and also show the things MS has to do to actually make XBL seems as a better value,XBL value is so low, that Netflix,Hulu,Facebook, twitter,HBO GO,new demos and other stuff are hide behind a pay wall. The fact that MS it self admit that 360 fans stream more movies than they play games, tell you what 360 fans are really paying for on 360.
thats all  sounds like the PS3 is really cutting sony losses. keep the games coming brah, let the microbots feel the extinction of games on the 360 PinnacleGamingP/facepalm The PS3 is cutting Sony losses? They've just specifically said that the gaming division was one of the ones taking losses and that it was because of reduced ps3 and software sales.
[QUOTE="Ilikemyname420"] /facepalm The PS3 is cutting Sony losses? They've just specifically said that the gaming division was one of the ones taking losses and that it was because of reduced ps3 and software sales. tormentosAnd the Strong Yen which sony can't control is simple. Sony reports 120 million today, and the current exchange rate is 99 yen per dollar so they make 11880 million yen. Sony reports 90 million tomorrow but the current exchange tomorrow is 88 yen per dollar 7920 million Yen,some people ignore this but all companies repatriate profits on their native currency. So even sony making 120 million the 2 days at 2 different rates the results are different. 120 X 99 = 11880 120 X 88 = 10660 Some people have to also understand that the Yen has been very strong for several years vs the dollar, which wasn't the case on the PS2 days, that exchange rates were like149 yen per dollar.
what's that got to do with anything he just said?
regardless of the yen's strenght, it's obvious Sony's gaming division isn't proffitable and as far as I know it hasn't been proffitable in at least 4 years

Another thing is this quarter is pretty much where you usually see sales drop significantly for all the game companies. They always put out only a modest lineup in late spring then barely release anything in summer. Then every single year we get the exact same report saying that the whole game industry dipped 30 something percent and reports that this or that game company is posting losses as if it were some sort of surprise.
what's that got to do with anything he just said?Dude the article it self say sony loss money, contrary to last year which they show a small profits.. Sony SCE is not the same as other branch of the company, this quarter they loss 45 millions do to lower sales and strong yen,but even Nintendo claimed losses, and by NPD even 360 sales were down. Remember that for companies doing 120 today and doing 90 tomorrow is consider a loss, but is really a loss.? You won 90...seeregardless of the yen's strenght, it's obvious Sony's gaming division isn't proffitable and as far as I know it hasn't been proffitable in at least 4 yearsrilpas

Why are people saying Sony is doing better when during last year they made money for the same months we are talking about. This year they lost money so year to year it got worse. It went from a Q1 profit to a Q1 loss.

thom_maytees
They will probably do it. Sony is one of their business companies. They can't let it die. If America, who probably has some of the highest debt in the world, can bail out 3+ banks and the automobile industry then I think the Japanese government can bail out one company.
Sony has lost money overall since 2006, the excuses for why have ranged from everything from yen/dollar to tsunamis to ps3 launch to vita launch and anything else u can imagine! Why are people saying Sony is doing better when during last year they made money for the same months we are talking about. This year they lost money so year to year it got worse. It went from a Q1 profit to a Q1 loss.

Because the results from Q1 of this year include temporary factors. Mobile took a big hit because of the buyout of Sony Ericsson (revenue and sales actually went up but the acquisition costs were still high). Sony Pictures counted Spiderman advertising costs but not its revenue or profit this quarter, which is going to be a lot. Sony Music's profit went down because they bought out EMI. Sony Computer Entertainment buying out Gaikai put them further into a hole. SCE only actually lost ($45M), which isn't much considering PlayStation has lost hundreds of billions of dollars in the past. Sales have gone down basically across the board but they are still in good shape to make a profit overall this year. Why are people saying Sony is doing better when during last year they made money for the same months we are talking about. This year they lost money so year to year it got worse. It went from a Q1 profit to a Q1 loss.
