Seriously? Why would they? So all companies that are in financial dire straits simply just stop what they are doing?

If that was their mindset they would have stopped making garbage, overpriced TV's a long time ago. Instead they will keep producing what

they do and continue to take losses. Not saying they can't / won't turn it around but they are digging themselves one hell of a hole and it is becoming

I'm not sure what Nintendo went through with the virtual boy but I'm fairly certain it wasn't anywhere near as bad as Sony current state.

In 26 years Microsoft has only ever had ONE quarterly loss.

People need to realize they're dealing with lots of company changes and nearing the next generation, lots of money is being spent right now. Even so, they're starting to make a comeback. Sony is far from doomed, they've finally got their act together.
