Hmm...that's a good question. What are your thoughts on this, typical Sony PR crap or does he actually have a point this time? :)

In a wide-ranging interview with GI.biz, House also commented on Nintendo's use of PlayStation 3 footage to showcase in-development Wii U titles.
"The only thing I've got to say is mimicry is the is the highest form of flattery," he said.

Well it sounds like the Wii-mote will be the standard for multiplayer. But Sony has very few games that have single system multiplayer as it is. The PS3 supports 7 controllers oddly but have not seen this feature use yet.depends how rich you are, the controllers will likely cost over $100.

they're right , nintendo just copied the NGP design made it a lil bit larger and use it as their new controller , and if you have 4 kids and a wife that thing is useless

In that case Nintendo should feel extremely flattered since both Sony and Microsoft mimic their motion control. In a wide-ranging interview with GI.biz, House also commented on Nintendo's use of PlayStation 3 footage to showcase in-development Wii U titles.

Then Sony is the biggest flatterer in the gaming industry. They seriously have no idea of their own...

they are infact rich ... but from a social , non-materialistic viewpointi'd wager a lot of families of six are quite rich

You mean how they have had cloud service for months on PS+ and how they showed cloud being used on VIta to save a game and continue it on the PS3 ast the E3 presentation the night before Wii-U was even announced? So, who had the idea first? The system was made for you, meaning, the reason it was named Wii-U. one person one controller.XenoNinjaWow, i never really thought of that :o
So can you connect 6 separate sets of move controllers to PS3? And how many games will that work with?ManicAceActually you can only connect four Move controllers. And that would only leave three Bluetooth slots, so an equal number of Nav controllers is out of the question.
[QUOTE="SoBaus"]only 1 of those tablet controllers are allowed per console so that means that its useles even if you have a familiy of twodepends how rich you are, the controllers will likely cost over $100.

Cloud service is not something Sony came up with.

The controller isn't being sold seperately. I hate having to repeat this ad nauseum.
Well, then, if you want to play that game..... Gaming and Cloud are not things Nintendo came up with.

But if you wanted a second one (if they allow it, which is the point of this thread) or had to replace one, the controller cost is quite the valid concern.is that a joke? Only reason Nintendo used that footage was because: 1) Wii will have similar hardware in terms of visual output 2) It's too early in WiiU arrival to show any actual footage of those titles. It has nothing to do with what this guy is implying....just terrible. In a wide-ranging interview with GI.biz, House also commented on Nintendo's use of PlayStation 3 footage to showcase in-development Wii U titles.

[QUOTE="TruthBToldShow"]Well, then, if you want to play that game..... Gaming and Cloud are not things Nintendo came up with. What does the cloud have to do with Wii U? People are saying the concept of playing a game on a TV and switching to a handheld or vice-versa, is a brand new idea originally thought up by Nintendo. Vita will be network connectable which means you'll have a ccess to PS-Cloud to save you games. Games and saves you can then use on your PS3 or PS4 (assumed) to do basically what Wii-U does. There are many differences, mind you.[QUOTE="Sgt_Crow"]

But there's a reason why PS3 footage was used...... its what Wii-U is aiming for (or better) next gen. Yes, you could insert PC or 360 in that statement too. Yes, the Sony dude threw-on a heavy coat of troll-ness but he was wrong.soapandbubbles
Hmm how many controller spots were in the playstation 2 hmm?
They are hypocritical... sometimes people need to keep quiet..
Well yeah, the biggest difference is that Wii U is not a handheld. It's a home console with whose controller has a screen among other things. And that screen isn't simply used to substitute the television. It can display completely separate information.People are saying the concept of playing a game on a TV and switching to a handheld or vice-versa, is a brand new idea originally thought up by Nintendo. ^^^ This. It's definitely another gimmick. I honestly think Nintendo did the same thing they did with the Wii simply to garner sales. It's kinda getting old.
Unfortunately for you PC gamers it's obviously the future of gaming and technology in general. With the release of ipad and now wiiu it's clear touch screen tv's are here to stay.the thing is will you need 6 controllers? do you even need more than 2? because since wii u will support wiimote and all i think the multi player games will be using the wiimote. even if wii u came with 4 controllers would 4 people be using them at the same time?
honestly i see wii u controller being something as single player.

Okay, yes I am a Nintendo fanboy but I also own and love all three consoles and am a fan all three companies as well. Heck I even prefer the PS3 to the 360 so this isn't coming from the side of bias I promise.
But this statement is ludicrous. "What if you have a family of six"? Well....which of the consoles has a single game that supports six players (or even any number greater than four) requiring all of the players to be in your house together and to each have a controller in their hand? I'll tell you one I know of for sure that doesn't: the Playstation 3. That's like saying "it doesn't make cheesburgers?? Well...what if you're hungry for a cheesburger!?" Stupid.
And then on the use of non-Wii U footage in its montage, "mimicry is the highest form of flattery". This is also an impossibly ignorant statement. I must say that I was surprised anyone thought that footage was games running on the system. It was clear to me the system was in too early of stages of development to have any real games avilable yet so I never even questioned it. But in the end if it caught some people off guard then fair enough. But I don't think they did anything wrong. If those titles are coming to the console (which, they are) then they have the right to show them. Nintendo showing footage of Arkam Asylum isn't them saying "look how awesome Sony is and we want to be just like them". It's saying, "look at how awesome this game from Rocksteady Games is and we want this on our console". I think it's pretty narrowminded of this guy to assume that reel had a thing to do with Sony or the PS3. Just my two cents.

I've gotta third this. I saw some footage on youtube and well, more gimmicks from Nintendo I guess. Still, the console could have better core games this time around, so I'm somewhat interested. Please Log In to post.
