You call this affordable and cheap? there are Asus, Samsung, ViewSonic monitors that go for much less than that.... abuabed

Then.... why people whine about 3DTV being expensive?

like how people completely disregard that its part of a package deal. lol.

HarlockJC

Well it's a great package deal. It's hard to overcome the 24 in part. In this day in age it's rare to see many people with anything less than 36 to 42 in tv.

My Dad has a 26" HDTV. I think he paid like $200-$300 for it.

I'm ok with the 24" It is a step up from my 19" SDTV but HDTVs do look a lot smaller then SDTVs even if they are the same size.

They used to be much more expensive than they're now. Here are two examples, Asus & View

I have a 23" and 24" monitor for my PC, I could not imagine 2 people sitting 6+ feet back and playing consoles on one.

Is it confirmed this a TV? I'm reading the PS Blog article, and it isreferred to as a Display.

No TV tuner would be a deal breaker for me if I were in the market for a new screen.

Also, this picture doesn't show a coaxial cable port:

Oh you don't know what you're missing :P (not talking about 3D), then again I've been called a videophile so...

NVIDIATI

Well, I have a Dell 1920x1200 24" monitor. I'm rather spoiled for PC gaming. I don't care that I don't have 1080p for console gaming, barely any games can run at 1080p, yet alone barely at 720p as it. LOL :P

Get a job then ya slacker. :P I find the whole package a good deal actual, considering you get the game and glasses with.

Well for one those would need to support 3D via the HDMI, and they probably dont. Most PC monitors out there only support 3D via DVI, and for 3D vision. But 3D TV's are going down in prices.... Remember seeing a Panasonic plasma 42" for only $699 like a month ago.... LCD's are much cheaper though.

[QUOTE="Fizzman"]

That is overpriced and I dont care for Resistance 3.

Only reason Sony is doing this is because they have so much riding on 3D. That is their fault though for trying to convince people that 3D isnt a complete joke. Look at the latest 3dTV sales, they are absolutely abysmal.

aroxx_ab

You know Sony is one of those companies that want push new technology same way was with dvd and bluray. One reason why i love Sony, i want new tech...

Exactly. Give us some new technology and lets see how it goes. In a matter of years it'll be improved and we'll have an overall better gaming experience. I don't see the hate for these products. I don't hate Kinect either, I just don't like the games lol.

I have one, punk. :P But in the end... you still paid $500 and you still have a small 24" screen. I didn't think console gamers liked being close to their screens... xD

Justifying the price due to a forced bundle doesn't make it better. They said the bundle was a $150 value. You have to give people a pair of glasses, but I'd have rather them take $100 off the price than force a video game down my throat + a 6' HDMI cable which I DON'T need. At $400 it's still not a great price but at least a little easier to accept due to 3D.

I have a 37inch HDTV, so Maybe it would've been better if this was a 32inch? 24 is far too small.

Glad to see this. I want to add 3D to my racing setup and this size would be perfect. If only they could do something about those big ugly bezels, I'm going to need to squeeze 3 of them together and that curved design just won't cut it.

It also comes with Resistance 3, HDMI cable, and a pair of 3D glasses. So without those the TV is like $350?

If I'm not mistaken the bezel is where they house the speakers. At least that's how it looked.
