sorry hermits PC isn't the best (facts only)

vandalvideo, what accounts for the other 70% of software sales? consoles and handhelds, correct? the pc is the biggest singular platform. but the consoles are systems developed specifically for gaming. they fall into the category of 'console.' thesmiter

it counts as one big category. they all appeal to roughly the same casual target market. expensive pcs appeal to the more hardcore target market.

and, therefore, consoles as a whole do indeed outsell pc. why are consoles put together? they are all systems with the singular funtion of gaming. pcs aren't. so consoles are all put together when compared to the pc.

there are different kinds of pc, but all pcs are counted together. they are different inside, but they all play the same games. they are counted together.

pc is the largest platform, but consoles, acting as their own financial entity, defeat it in gaming sales.

Im sure i will hear many hermits claim that the "standards are higher on PC and how many games that are on PC would score much higher if they were on consoles. Sorry hermits thats completely false. If that is the case then why do games that appear on the 360 and PC that are basically identical in content recieve the same score?

Bioshock PC(95%) Xbox 360 (95%) so much for higher standards lol

The Orange Box PC(96%) Xbox 360 (96%) why do they score identical? because they are the same game and are identical on both consoles except someone with a sweet pc can get slightly better graphics.

The PC is a great gaming platform but it IS NOT as dominant as it used to be.

oh, well i thought it was 2007. i didn't know we were crossing the generation gap. whatever... yes, those games have sold much better than any, ever. i never said pc wasn't any good, just that more casual gamers get console games.

although all those games are mmorpgs, which proves that they sell better on pc. i already said that. the sims is a great casual for the pc, i must admit, so in all time sales, pc is the winner.

but cosoles have been here since the nes, and will always be successful enough to generate profit, which is why they continue to exist.

pcs will always exist, obviously. and they will always run games the best, at the best resolutions.
