I just want to go online, race friends/randoms in Forza Horizon 3, co-op in Gears campaign or Horde. You can throw all the numbers you want but how you see MS First Party is how i see singleplayer games.

Id rather play socom 1-2 on ps2, twisted metal, motorstorm, mag, warhawk etc over any singleplayer game on Sony/MS/Nintendo.

Im not tied to xbox products, they just make the games i want to play. I would have a Ps4 if they offered the games i like from previous gens.

Microsoft just doesn’t have a lot of games to justify purchasing an Xbox one over PS4. I mean if you just take Xbox one vs PS4, the PS4 has gotten tons of games the last few years that Xbox has not. Xbox gamers miss out on way more titles than PS4 gamers too. In the last year there’s only been a handful of games that were available on Xbox but not playstation- halo wars 2, cuphead, forza Motorsport 7, super luckys tale. Coming up they only have a few titles as well- sea of thieves, crackdown 3, state of decay 2, ori 2, ashen.

Compare that to PS4- gravity rush 2, nier, nioh, horizon + dlc, uncharted dlc, Crash bandicoot trilogy, gran turismo, persona 5, god of war, spiderman, Detroit become human, days gone.

Even if you as a consumer hate all of these games you can’t deny it’s fact more choice is brought to PS4 players when it comes to games.

@davillain-: the thing this forum constantly overlooks since most here dont play on Xbox is MS does have a pretty constant stream of games coming out. Even if they arent 'exclusives', if you dont have a PC they still are games playable on Xbox. MS released Forza 7, Cuphead, PUBG and Superlucky in Q4 last year. They released PoE and Conan Exiles in Q3. And Halo Wars 2 before that. (Contrary to this website and forums' opinion HW2 is actually a pretty solid game if you like RTS games)

Sea of Thieves, State of Decay 2, Crackdown 3 and Ori 2 are all coming this year.

Then theres still all the stuff they announced at E3 last year like Black Desert and DnL. It really boils down to personal taste. Cows will call them garbage just like I will meh at all the weeaboo stuff cows constantly cream over. I personally get more excited for the indie games coming than most of the AAAs anyway. Full Metal Furies is a better game than the bulk of the AAAs released in the last 6 months.

In that vein, games like Ashen, Ancestors Legacy, Ooblets, Riverbond, Osiris New Dawn, Darwin Project and Battlerite are all coming to Xbox this year too. Yeah they are all on PC too. But I dont play on PC so thats irrelevant to me and other Xbox fans that dont play on PC.

So comparatively, they really will have released close to the same number of 'big' titles as Sony in the last year since most of Sony's stuff last year after Q1 has just been announcements. Sure Ni-oh and HZD were wins for Sony, but a lot of the other stuff Sony dropped was mostly hyped by this forum and forgotten.

They might not bring games that suit this forums' tastes which is pretty heavy weighted with weeb/single player/Sony bias as far as bragging purposes goes, but the reality is most of the people here play the same multiplats the bulk of the time, and X1X is still the best place outside of PC to play multiplats. MS has done a pretty good job on the constant stream of Xbox Enhancements too so they are definitely winning on the multiplat front.

I think it really boils down to this forums' thirst for Sony-style, longterm overhype which MS doesnt do especially after Scalebound. So sure, they could probably use a couple of big name IPs to satiate the fans that like that style of hype. But this 'Xbox has no games' stuff needs a rest.

And on the new IP front they still have a Playground Games IP in development.

He's not deaf to it. He just doesn't get a blank check anymore because the higher ups at MS no longer care about Xbox.

Good points, even if Xbox gamers don't care for exclusive games, there's plenty of multiplats. I just think MS ran out of time investing more exclusive content games catering to none Xbox fans. We all know MS is working on a next-gen Xbox console as we speak, MS needs to start planing ahead of production and have new exclusive games ready to go. It work for Nintendo's Switch, they came well prepared and had use there time wisely. MS needs to take notes from Nintendo.

Of course Xbox gamers "care for exclusive games"... and there are plenty of games on XB1 that aren't available on XB1's direct competition, PS4 & Switch.

I know the argument that "Xbox has no exclusives because they're on Win10 too" is very convenient for certain fanboys, but it's a dumb argument. Win10 PC is not a direct competitor to consoles. They are different machines for different markets. Consoles are dedicated game systems. PCs are not. Hence, when looking at the CONSOLE market, XB1 has heaps of exclusive games that aren't on its competition.

I already cited the Xbox 'exclusives' Sea of Thieves and Crapdown 3 as being a truly awful line up for Xbox One I didn't ignore their existence do you even fucking read the posts you are replying to? I bought a PS3 and 360 last gen and both had TONS of exclusives. And I mean fucking tons. And it wasn't just console exclusives on 360 either it was 'proper' exclusives. To say Xbox was never about exclusives shows you are pig ignorant to the industry in general and have not a single fucking clue what you are talking about.

360 had slightly better performance for multiplats that did not make it 'king' of anything and it had countless BIG exclusives, just like PS3 did. I would define it as big budget games eagerly awaited by the gaming public, often system sellers but always big news even if they turn out to be flops on arrival. For Sony - Uncharted 4, Persona 5, Nioh, Horizon, Nier etc for MS, Halo, Gears, Forza you know all this already I assume you are now going to make the point that the comedy duo of Sea of Thieves and Crackdown are BIG NEWS and eagerly awaited by some guy in South Korea lol.

The industry media have already defined AAA pretty much so your own definition (or mine) won't count for Jack shit, just a little FYI for you there, I'm fully aware you need all the help you can get.

AAA again is NOT classified by whether or not a game sells systems. That's the bullshit you added again to save face and to avoid your error. Find ANY credible source that will back that bullshit definition so, take your own advise and avoid the meandering and stop acting stupid.

Sea of Thieves and Crackdown 3 are classified as AAA games in the same way that Doom, Fallout 3, Assassin Creed etc are.

So perfectly said. They have brought new ips to market. They didn't light the world on fire but that doesn't mean Spencer hasn't tried. People need to remember that Xbox doesn't have the benefit of an insular and loyal population. Americans be they Devs or consumers are only patriotic about pictures of military personnel, African American athletes taking a knee during the anthem, and the freedom to own an Assault rifle. So devs located here will not exclusively support Xbox the way Japanese ones do PS.
