He's a hypocrite. He goes on about "play anywhere" but he only means Xbox and PC by anywhere. He thinks his competitors should allow cross play but he won't dare put Halo, Gears and Forza on PS4 or Switch.

He also said he doesn't believe in 3rd party exclusive content even though they've had 3rd party exclusive content deals since he replaced Don.

That's really good. Exclusives is what makes your console stand out from the competition. Hopefully X fans can get a really good looking game

Why did you need to even wait till E3 to come to that realization? As Phil said, a game has a 2-3 year development cycle. If the first time everyone heard about a game is at E3, means that the game is 2 to 3 years away. If the game is close to release at E3, means you'd have heard about it 2 years ago. It's not rocket science

Not sure what you're talking about, the exclusives so far this year on ps4 is better than the exclusives for the whole gen for xbox one that we know of (both currently out and coming out)

And we still have Yakuza Kiwami, God Wars: Future's Past, Nex Machina, Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls, Summon Night 6, Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy, FF12, Fallen Legion: Flames of Rebellion, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, Lawbreakers, Sudden Strike 4, Matterfall, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, Everybody's Golf, Warriors: All Stars, Knack 2, YS VII: Lacrimosa of Dana, Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony (completely different type of game than the ultra despair girls one), Ni no Kuni: Revenant Kingdom (you know until I checked this, I thought this was coming to xbox one as well, but holy shit this game alone shits on anything coming to xbox one exclusively this year and in general outside of maybe the evil within 2), a few super niche games that people will still enjoy, and some games that don't have release dates. Also detroit become human has an august release date.

Then games like One Piece: Unlimited World Red - Deluxe Edition isn't coming to Xbox One

Oh and The Lost Legacy is a full lengthed game, it's just a standalone expansion but it's long enough to be it's own game, just using the same engine and all that.

I would rather they don't tease games that aren't ready to be shown. So in that context it was the smarter choice, plus I'm old enough to recognize that no grown ass man should be going into E3 all hyped up n shit. It's a fucking commercial people, get real.

That said, we went into 2017 with Microsoft's biggest flaw as a console maker and gaming publisher being: They don't have enough internal studios and as a result don't have a diverse portfolio of good new and good old ips. And we'll probably start 2018 with that same flaw being there, although who knows, Sea of Thieves might be rad, and if Crackdown 3 doesn't suck, eh it's at least a half measure.

Microsoft is my investment in Halo not existing away, from me not really giving a shit about what they do.
