Yeah, but it's because you don't have a PS3, right? That would proabably be the main reason why, that's what what I would do.:P

FYI I just preordered a Slim. And guess what? I still intend to buy the 360 version :|

... Why?

Why not IMO is a way better question. You swap discs 3 times, oh noez.

Good job for Kitase that he mentioned there will be pretty much no differences between the 2 versions. The lemmings are always going to find something that nobody ever noticed in screenshots of the two versions and try to claim the PS3 looks like crap.

It's a shame that PS3 owners have to settle for "they'll both be the same"...At least lems know there's a chance the 360 version will be better. So much for the power of TeH S3LL!

If I didn't have a PS3, I would do the same thing, the game should still be fabulous, for me, it's not just about the PORT issue.

The fact that I am getting FFVsXIII as well, would make my collection awkward, since FFVsXIII is a PS3 exclusive.

I'm worried that there may even be Ratchet and Clank/Mass Effect like memory additions to FFVs. that I wouldn't want to give up on.

-Oath

Okay, but you still don't have or own a PS3...and you've loved your 360 a long time. I wouldn't expect a preorder to change your mind about a 360 version you've pined on for over a year. You commited to that version despite knowing anything about it.

My main point still stands, I am getting both games on one platform, to keep it uniform, and to avoid any PORT issues.Blu-Ray does offer advantages in features, which I'm looking forward too as well.

I suppose though, you may not care about FFVsXIII, like I do. It's the KH's team and Nomura, so I can understand that.

You can clearly do whatever you want, but if FFVersusXIII offers some sort of Memory feature to FFXIII (Like Ratchet and Clank made famous last gen, or that Bioware trying to do with Mass Effect 2), I will be able to take advantage as well.

I don't want my collection funky either. When I look back a decade from now, I won't have a funky collection all in disarray.

Cows are just as harsh with there "graphics kings", saying the 360 will never catch up but many multiplats(the best looking ones) tell them wrong.

Sometimes I forget this is SW, so even fanboys will say one thing and do another in real life.

If the PS3 version has a clear superiority over the 360 version Ill buy it instead, but its too early to tell as of now so Ill stick to the 360 version... for now.

You commited to that version despite knowing anything about it.

Im almost positive Square has said there will be miniscule differences between both versions.

My main point still stands, I am getting both games on one platform, to keep it uniform, and to avoid any PORT issues.Blu-Ray does offer advantages in features, which I'm looking forward too as well.

You do that and stick to the PS3 and Blu-Ray version then, to each their own.

I suppose though, you may not care about FFVsXIII, like I do. It's the KH's team and Nomura, so I can understand that.

Your right, I probably dont care for Versus like you do, Im intersted in it but Im not big on side stories/spinoffs (if it is indeed a side story).

You can clearly do whatever you want, but if FFVersusXIII offers some sort of Memory feature to FFXIII (Like Ratchet and Clank made famous last gen, or that Bioware trying to do with Mass Effect 2), I will be able to take advantage as well.

Ive never been big on memory features. I have quite a few games that use that type of thing too (Golden Sun, Castlevania, even Ys) and I never used them, so thingws like thst wont buy me.

That's true, but it really only matters when you buy used. It's not much of a factor if you buy new and take care of your own stuff.

Yes definitely, bluray is a better format but my main concern is the game itself TBH, I take care of my games so scratches are the least of my worries, Im just concerned about overall preformance.

I believe it has more to do with licensing fees than actual manufacturing. I'm pretty sure that the more discs a game uses, the more licensing fees cost developers.

Because of the same reason we are talking about multiple4-minutes mandatory installs.

the argument about installs in system wars is just rubbish, installing game data is only a good thing, I dont play a game on my 360 unless I install the game first because I hate the disk drive in it so much. but even if the disk drive wasnt as loud as a plane taking off I would still install games everytime, so installing game data on the ps3 is a good thing, PC gamers must just laugh at some 360 fanboys.

I wouldnt assume on this one, Ive been hearing that the 360 has been having problems running XIII recently but Im also hearing that when alls said and done, XIII will run better on the 360. You make a good point/assumption, but I think Ill wait.

I don't like installs either, but they actually serve a point in helping playback capabilites for the game for devs who don't know how to develop without the need of an isntall.Look at KZ2 (no install),where as multiple discs serve no purpose.Games can be designed without an install, but when you lack space on a DVD9 disc you can not work your way around multiple discs. So install>multiple disc.

Every game on the PS3 has one, or else has horrible long loading times.

Well now i know to never take one of you posts seriously ever again. You clearly do not own or know any who owns a ps3. Uncharted has no install, and no long load times, same with KZ2, lbp, and many more. There are alot of installs, but not for all and when they dont have an install they do not have horrible long loading times.

I never will understand why people make such a big deal about disc swapping. Unless its asking you to swap discs every 5 minutes its a non-issue. Man you really need to complain about having to get up for a minute to switch a disc? Its just sad.

Killzone 2, Resistance 2, Infamous, so many games don't need HDD install. When Cows have Blue Ray, Lemmings first say " no game will ever fill up a DVD9" and then when games needing multiple discs come out it's now multiple discs don't matter. Lol. You bash a PS3 feature and say it won't be needed, and then when it is needed you say it's not a big deal. Damn Lemmings. Are you going to complain about the slimness of the PS3 now?

Not every Ps3 needs installs, a lot of exclusives don't need mandatory install. And i would rather have 1 , 5 minutes install at the start then to have to swap discs through gameplay. If you think swapping is better then an install then your kidding yourself

I think both arent big deals. If you are that impatient or lazy that you cant get up once in awhile to swap a disc than thats just sad. 5 minute installs at the beginning of a game is not a huge matter either. Both are non-issues but this is System Wars so someone always has to complain about something =o

3 discs = change discs 2 times

Change disc one time = 1 minute

Change discs two times = 2 minutes

Xbox 360 = 2 minutes of changing dics

PS3 = 30 minutes of waiting for mandatory install to complete

LOL, I choose 360.

Yes definitely, bluray is a better format but my main concern is the game itself TBH, I take care of my games so scratches are the least of my worries, Im just concerned about overall preformance.

It should perform great on PS3; It is the primary platform for XIII after all.

I wouldnt assume on this one, Ive been hearing that the 360 has been having problems running XIII recentlybut Im also hearing that when alls said and done, XIII will run better on the 360. You make a good point/assumption, but I think Ill wait.

How can you possibly be hearing BOTH conflicting things and take them both seriously?

The only thing we know is that Squre, Kitase, and FF teams have said, and the bad performance reports of E FFXIII on 360. That last part, about it will run better, is pure rabid speculation from a random source.

SE, Kitase, nor anyone official ever made such a claim.

3 discs = change discs 2 times

Change disc one time = 1 minute

Change discs two times = 2 minutes

Xbox 360 = 2 minutes of changing dics

PS3 = 30 minutes of waiting for mandatory install to complete

LOL, I choose 360.

george999819

Number one, not every game requires installs on PS3.

Number two, Installs don't take 30 minutes.

Number three, We don't even know if FFXIII has an install, your post just makes no sense.

What we clearly do know is that it is a Port on 360, it wasn't running well on 360 at E3 a month or two ago, and it will be multidisc on 360.

Okay, but you still don't have or own a PS3...and you've loved your 360 a long time. I wouldn't expect a preorder to change your mind about a 360 version you've pined on for over a year.

FFversusXIII is not a spin off or side story, I thought you said you were a big FF fan, shouldn't you know this :?

Well, it was odd, because you mentioned facts, then you added a completely fabricated sentence at the end. Whether or not the origin of such a statement lies with you or another poster, it was still repeated.

Waiting is surely fine though, but the legitimacy of the post was my concern. It was like the other day when you thought there was an ME2 demo on Live, you seem to sometimes get caught up in misinformation.

Clearly, hearing the 360 Port will be superior by an unknown source while knowing the 360 Port performed worse a few months ago, is just as bad as the ME2 Demo rumor.

It seems to me, if someone told me FFXIII will run better, I would readily tell them the facts, and question how they could possibly know that, because like you, I know FFXIII ran poorly at E3. It's certainly possible, but what we know at this stage conflicts readily with that information.

...But somehow, you reposted that "nonofficial, some random internet Xguy created, lie".. Seemed odd, and the end result is misinformation being passed, when we can clearly see that's not actually logical intel.

No, biggie, waiting is obviously important, but I like to nip misinformation in the bud.

Ah well. :)
