How can you possibly be hearing BOTH conflicting things and take them both seriously?

The only thing we know is that Squre, Kitase, and FF teams have said, and the bad performance reports of E FFXIII on 360. That last part, about it will run better, is pure rabid speculation from a random source.

SE, Kitase, nor anyone official ever made such a claim.

That's my point, you just read that and I'm sure many others will, and didn't see that between the conflicting reports, one is real, and one is false.

My point is that he bothered repeating such an obviously bogus report, that's all.

While we know upon research about the 360's FFXIII performance at E3, no one save for SE could say "When all is said and done, FFXIII will run better on 360..."

Just reading that, I knew it was silly, but to be clear, SE never said that, and he already clarified that he read that from some other poster in another thread.

I saw that it was bogus, but others, like you, may have missed that, and that's why I was all about it. That's the only part of the statement I had a problem with.

Just reposting such bogus intel can fire all kinds of misinformation.
That's how SW operates, Someone says, :

Mass Effect 2 runs better on Blu-Ray according to Bioware, I got the scoop!

And a month later, someone else repeats that, even though it's bogus. Then others will jump in, like what we have here, and it's creates all kinds of situations.

While I might have lemming leanings, it's more because I think Sony forsook their fan base by releasing a $600 console and I think they forced Blu-Ray and the Cell down our throats to push their own agenda instead of what was best for the gamer and not because I have some huge preference to Microsoft games. That's why I waited a few years before buying into this gen. I wanted to see which system had the better offering of RPGs.mythrol

Changing discs a few times or waiting 4 minutes you can use to go to the bathroom or drink orange juice is absolutely irrelevant to gaming, I just dont understand, this will always be beyond me.AgentA-Mi6

Yep since waiting and standing up to go to the bathroom or to get something is less annoying than quickly changing a disc. There is no way I will defend installs a la MGS4, that's way more annoying than changing a disc 1 or 2 times. The only downside to it is the fact that you could lose a disc ot get scratched but not like one is much more convenient than the other.

That is correct, FFXIII has been a PS3 game from day 1. Its actually one of the first multiplatfrom games that will be ported to the 360, so we dont know exactly how well it will preform on 360 yet.

i could, or i could buy it for the ps3 and just deal with it being slightly worse in terms of framerates. im just making a statement that there are downsides to only having it on one disc. before you hate on a person or a console you may want to make sure that that person doesnt have both of them first.mtradr43

Really. The number of discs, in a consumer's standpoint, is a complete non-issue. Eventually, Microsoft will have to figure out some type of storage medium that has high capacity, but what's the difference on the consumer end? Are you paying more for 3 DVDs than you are for 1 BD?

I've played more games this generation on the 360 than any other machien, when it comes to gaming the 360 is the best this gen, lately the 360 isn't being handled as optimum as it has been handled in the past, and I just bought $15 XBLA game (Shadow Complex) that's the best DL game I've played this gen next to SSFIITurbo HD remix and Marvel Vs. Capcom 2.

As long as they don't bundle the discs like MS did with LO, who cares.
