Street Fighter 5 introduces console exclusive branding

Oh soooo it's okay for MS to make Rise of the Tomb Raider a timely exclusive huh? In short, both companies are just being dump for this kind of attitude and the way I see it, there both even. SFV is coming to PC, so at least Sony is doing nice for that.

Except the box doesn't say "timed exclusive", it says "Xbox exclusive" and that is false info.

Presently Rise of the Tomb Raider is console exclusive, try again in 11 months.

If it's ANNOUNCED for more than one system it's not an exclusive is the way to go.

Is it really that big of a deal? If they said its the greatest game ever made on the box, its not like that is going to sway my decision. It's just packaging to insentience people not in the know. PS had their "greatest hits", Xbox had "Platinum hits", Wii had "Nintendo Selects"... They all do it, its nothing new or big

Not everyone is in love with the SF franchise. Personally I'd put Tekken over SF, and I wouldn't even consider SF to be Capcoms best fighter.

Its on playstation so it gets extra attention, if this was xbox console exclusive it wouldnt get any attention and all would be fine because M$ does it

@aigis: That's a bit different, Plat/Greatest Hits are just second prints of games that sold well on that system. Doesn't imply exclusivity to either brand.

Well, I don't mean this specific instance is sad, or Sony doing it is sad. Just that the death of the true console exclusive, replaced by timed exclusives, console debuts, console exclusives, and brand exclusives, is pretty sad to me, personally. I liked exclusives.

Exclusive doesn't mean what you think it means...

it means to exclude so, an exclusive game is one that excludes 1 or more platforms. Its also a relative term and most of the time its implied to be exclusive in relation to xbox/ps/pc but generally disregarding mobile/handhelds/wii u.
