Also loling about how everyone's complaining about the "sh!t" choices. I'm wondering what they would have picked. I'm guessing those people would've picked sh!t like Half-Life or Call of Duty or ARMA or Battlefield. Hell, maybe even the Killzone series, sering how many cows are on this board. :lol:
The first has never been good, the second was decent twice, the third is a sim (:lol:) and the fouth has had four passable-to-good games out of what? 9? That's hardly a record. And Killzone, well... It's not really worth discussing now, is it?
Admittedly, the people praising Vanquish are right on the money, but that seems the exception.
On topic, it's nice to see DOOM, Unreal, and Halo in the top three. The most important DPS ever made, one of the best arena shooter series ever, and the king of console FPS? We could have done worse. And Bioshock gets the art house critic's vote.
As to your question, Adobe, I prefer Team Deathmatch. It's the old standby, and I love it. All about teamwork and skill, though I prefer things like King of the Hill in games like Gears. Seems to fit the series better. I like a good Horde mode, too, but the only one I've ever really loved was Firefight. Horde itself never really did it for me.
As for a vote... I guess DOOM. Halo's gonna win, but you've gotta throw props to the King.
