The rules were overly strict for a place with "wars" in its title, and moderations for trivial things were handed out left and right because of it.

The old SW rules were too strict I'm sure many will agree. The new system might though be too forgiving. If someone keeps insulting posters and is not moderated then all hell will break loose. I can't imagine the massacre if a big game flops either.

I'm 50/50 right now and we'll see in the coming weeks how this works out. Despite the funny responses in here I hope SWarriors are mature enough to not abuse the system and try to be civil in discussions.

Probably not. All the sh*t from there is still against the ToU here, so I can't imagine CBS lightening up on it.

I think the key to making the new rules a success is to focus the proper flaming/trolling on the rare combination of stupidity and inanity that the board suffers from, rather than "OMG you have a different-still-perfectly-valid opinion than mine. You c*nt!".

Someone says Uncharted 3 is worse than Hitler Who cares? Someone responds to someone saying Uncharted 3 is worse than Hitler with "well, that's just, like, your opinion, man"? They should be taunted and booed until your throat (err, fingers?) is sore.
