Right exactly. You have to allow the truth to come out. The reality is there are people on these forums that come from all walks of life. Determining how to debate something isn't always so simple though. People communicate differently. You could have a marine doing that when it really shouldn't be done by a marine. The marines purpose should be something else.

You know after seeing these popularity lists, I am convinced that this is just a social experiment to see how long SW lasts before completely imploding. Once it gets too out of hand then BAM! The old rules will be back and reinforced harder than ever.

I don't think we'll get any more good discussions with these new rules. I've seen threads with good discussion potential crumble into nothing more than mud slinging contests.

Certainly won't get anything as good as the GT5 vs Forza 3 threads. They were as heated as it got, but now people choose the name calling instead, it's a sad day for SWs even if some might not see it yet.

Before you had to bring something to the table to argue, now you can just call someone a name and there goes the thread. And in a really heated thread such as the GT5 vs Forza 3 ones (which were awesome), it wouldn't get past the first page before it turned into '12 year olds on xbox live' type choas with the new rules.

i would agree with that. i post over at espn and they don't have mods and i just do my own thing. there are still idiots there but what can you do. let them be idiots and just tell them they are? it will catch up with them ultimately in some fashion? when it does that's when you call in the marines?

we see the post reported. we don't just get a report and click a mod button. if something isn't a violation, it doesn't get modded.

by the way, banned = gone for good. suspended = temporarily gone. if you were ever banned then that would mean you are ban dodging right now.
