Does it get better each episode? I'd say that's one thing TWD Season 1 does, it gets more into its narrative and more deep each episode as it progresses.
Also, seeing as you play a bumton of games on like every system, chat me sometime man. Never talk to me no more ;_;
I don't have to buy anyone Christmas presents this year.
That makes two of us. Doesn't really look like I'm getting any gifts for Christmas myself either, starting what feels like maybe 3-4 years ago it doesn't feel like I ever really celebrated much/did much of anything on Christmas, this definitely is a holiday that's just more for the kids.
@Toph_Girl250: Same here. For many years (until this one since I thought why not) I never bought anything on Christmas. I'm a frugal guy since I grew up that way.
It's not like me or my family can't afford stuff, its just we aren't the type to want anything for the most part. :P
I personally didn't like the anime.
Speaking of anime, I finished watching Bleach and now I'm reading the manga.
I've seen some parts of certain episodes of Bleach, but sadly I never really got into it. :P I definitely know I love FullMetal Alchemist and Cowboy Bebop though. :D I remember seeing episodes of those on Toonami all the time back in Spring - Summer 2012. Toonami was on every Saturday Nights on CN, not sure if it still is though. Also, perhaps my most favorite anime back then that I saw, that also seemed short-lived with lack of episodes, was an anime called Deadman Wonderland.
Watching Bleach can be a pain since there is a lot of filler especially later in the series but I was able to skip all of them. Cowboy Bebop is one of those anime shows that I say I will watch but I just haven't. I haven't tuned into Toonami for the longest, but that's because I already seen most of the anime they aired. Deadman Wonderland is alright but I read some of the manga and I think it's more better.
@TheGuardian03: Yeah it is cross buy and save. It's a mechanics based game. You go through levels applying the mechanics you learn as fast as you can while collecting objects. Mess up and there goes your perfect score.
I liked it a bit but its not as refined and varied as other mechanic based games like Hotline Miami or Spelunky. Challenging though and scales well

I see, no problem with that. These days if I'm to purchase stuff around Christmas I think its gonna be usually clothes, games, and/or electronics. :P I usually get stuff like that on other random days of the year though however. :P
No thank you
I wonder how many people said that to Shinji Mikami during Resident Evil 4's development. Y'know, one of your most favourite games (and should be one of everyone's). Not controlling like ass didn't affect the horror segments at all. In fact, the controls made them better. The dog maze couldn't have been done without the potential to miss, Regenerators up in your face couldn't have been done with the old camera style, and the monks are damn creepy no matter what.
But to repeat an earlier point, combat has little to do with what makes Silent Hill work.
Do not even compare the two. Resident Evil 4 is like a massive exception on so many levels, we're talking about a game that went through development hell to go sike "I'm THE BEST IN THE WORLD BITCH". Plus it didn't become less of an interactive experience.
I have no issue with Silent Hill improving controls, my issue is turn it into a fucking an interactive movie/novel bullshit. This is an interactive medium, and I would like a franchise that at one point legit LEGIT had me engaged and sold me on its atmosphere, tone, plot, world, and kept me satisfied with it's interactive bits. The best aspects of the 3 Silent Hill games were that everything was built around those "shitty controls", shit that's what makes RE4 so brilliant in the first place. It is so universally stupid that homeboy can't move n shoot, yet that game has way more gameplay ideas and better built and paced gameplay segments than all those move n shoot shooters could ever hope to have. Not to say RE4 had bad controls (it didn't), but they sure as hell aren't in the Super Meat Boy/Bayonetta class of excellent controls either.
Silent Hill doesn't need combat, but I don't want to play 999, I don't want to play the Walking Dead either. I will argue for all their brilliance on a narrative level (999 way the **** more than Telltale), neither of them are good examples of what I would argue is a great game. Yeah congrats you told a story, by going out of your way to minimize your gameplay (999 plays around with its platform some more, but the proper gameplay is straight up shit, or straight unnecessary). So yeah it's not the controls mate, it's taking out interactivity from a game. You suck at providing that, you suck as a game. Anything else you're just a poor version of a film/book in comparison.
Amnesia, Alien, and things like Ethan Carter are more in line with what I'd want in terms of direction for Silent Hill, which in the case of P.T. **** yeah. Now just keep Kojima and Del Toro WAY the **** away from the script.
All my laughter.
I might laugh if that video wasn't so painful to watch.
You mean awesome to watch!
He stopped an entire race of ancient wyverns from destroying a nation bro, what did you do? Not stop an ancient wyverns or whatever the **** from destroying a nation bro after learning dragon speak, and becoming a personal slave for like 5 or 6 guilds. You can't compete son, CANT COMPETE!!

I used TWD as an example not because it's an interactive movie, but because it's a point-and-click adventure game, albeit a simplified one. What I remember of SH3 is quite reminiscent of said type of games games in terms of game flow, having you go back and forth between various points until you solve a puzzle that'll let you move on to the next area, only SH3 has a horror bend and the occassional enemy you have to dance around or shoot. I also used TWD as an example because both it and SH3 use cinematic angles, the latter better at it by a country mile, but I digress. TWD, when it lets me navigate strictly by mouse, lets me, well, navigate through the game better than tank controls would.
@Xaero_Gravity: Havn't even logged onto a Playstation system today. Didn't actually get any major gaming stuff. (Just a Yoshi Amiibo)
We'll have to play soon though.
The Walking Dead: Season 2 (END): OH MY GOD, I KILLED KENNYKenny agreed he was the bastard back there so my conscience is clean. Three seconds later, you find out Kenny died a meaningless death. Everything that happened in the last episode was meaningless. No doubt the message was "People do stupid shit sometimes" and I'm sure that'll affect Clem as she goes on in her virtual life. However, the player experience ended there and a message like that is sour no matter how you dress it.
Not sour, I hope, was everyone's Christmas. Merry Christmas to those still on the 25th and a happy new year to everyone else~
Pokemon Omega Ruby is pretty fun. AC Black Flag is still in packaging though. And damn, all that money/gift cards, bus pass. lol
Really hate the parts from Pokemon X that were brought over to Ruby. The new lines sound awful in that same, stupid X way and the game's EXP system is just fucked. Entirely. Fucked.
I have no idea what you are talking about. Explain?
@speedfreak48t5p: What part you at now?
Got my first badge.
Yeah dude, it gets better. Much better.
Hope everyone had a great Christmas!
I've been playing Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright.
One of the Best games on the 3DS for sure!
TAKE THAT @Blabadon
Saw The Interview. It is legit funny (it has some pretty hilarious situations) but is definitely not the "be all end all" that it was made to be by IMDB and reviews. 6-7/10.
I can see why the North Koreans (read: the current regime) would be "annoyed" about it. Not nearly enough to justify hacking a company, exposing personal data on many, many workers and threatening to kill innocent people, of course, but they held back no punches regarding good ol' Kim in that film. Honestly they didn't held back on almost anything it seems (for better or worse).
I'm just glad I was able to see it though :)
Finally downloading Insurgency.( All thanks to @MlauTheDaft ) Lets see if its as good as everyone says.
