Probably going to play Project Gotham Racing 4 tomorrow. Game is dope.

It's a massive improvement in almost every department. Just waiting for the right game to convince me to jump aboard.
Also waiting to see if the 3DS gets region-hacked before I get Persona Q because reasons. Okay, -a-reason. >.>Two if we count avoiding New Chie. hohoho
Seeing as how voice acting in the series is non-existent for me (I always turn it off), not an issue. I just want to get in on that PQ goodness already!
I don't really need a better reason than Xenoblade to get the N3DS. I just need to wait for a special edition that tickles my fancy. Not about to pick up a generic edition.
Just finished watching Blazing Saddles again.
Damn, that was a ballsy film! Pretty fun too! I don't think it would be made with today's overly PC society. The first 10 minutes would make SJWs rage like they never raged before XD
u wot m8
There's plenty of films made these days that are more out there than Blazing Saddles, like Dear White People which I thought was brilliant. Besides, the reasons why films like Blazing Saddles aren't made anymore is because parody films are pretty much dead and audiences don't care to watch them.
All-enemy attacks are so much fun until the enemy starts using them on you halfway through a fight you thought you were winning. Next thing you know, your medic's dead, your paladin's dead, and you wasted your one item revive on someone only to have them go down again the very next second from yet another all-enemy attack.
I now understand this song. ;-;

They probably will do SEs for the XL, but I don't want a not-very-portable portable or a lower dpi and its already pretty low compared to the Vita or phones. I'll be happy with faceplates instead of SEs which I doubt they'll do for the regular-size one.

Your tears are delicious. I frequently get killed in a similar fashion. Most recently today when I tried to take on a rare breed FOE to earn crazy EXPs.
Why would you think the XL isn't portable? I've been using the XL for a long time and find it as portable as the regular 3DS. While I was tempted to get the regular size for the colorful buttons, I just can't go back to the smaller screens. My eyes are old and tired and like bigger visuals.

Little hyperbole on my part. :p I just don't want something as unportable as the Vita, much as I love it. Thing barely fits in the largest of my pockets. Never actually looked at the actual size of the New XL until now. It being less wide by a full inch helps. Weight though, hmm. Having gone from the Vita PCH-1000 (260g) to PCH-2000 (219g), it doesn't sound like much, but you could really feel the difference between the two even though only 41g were lost. Now, the New XL is 329g. That...doesn't sound as comfortable when put in that light.
If it's of any worth, the New 3DS is 1.2x larger in screen size compared to the original iirc.

Weight means nothing to me given I carry a bunch of stuff in a messenger bag everywhere I go.
As for the slightly larger screens on the N3DS, I know. But it's still not enough. I'm used to the XL and will stick to it. Now I just need to wait for a special edition. If I'm super lucky, Xenoblade will have a special edition, which would be PERFECT!

Regarding weight, that time, I wasn't talking portability so much as comfort. :p 41g is like going from bricks to feathers when it comes to actually having it in your hands for extended use, something I can actually do with my Vita unlike the original 3DS because of the battery life. I really hate the 3DS as a piece of hardware. >.>
Alright PC bros. I'm looking to ditch my Quadro and go back to a proper gaming GPU set up. The only true benefits I was getting from a workstation card were in 3DS Max which I don't use anymore.
Not looking to spend more than 500 bucks. Haven't done much research, but at the moment I'm thinking of going with 2 760's.
Thoughts? Advice? I'm all ears. Which is quite unfortunate since you can't listen to text on a screen, but I'll try my best.

970.
Don't have it but from what I've read and looking at benchmarks it's the best bang for your buck. I'd grab it with no hesitation if I neededto upgrade.
So much for trying to grow up, eh Em? I know this technically par for the course for him, but I remember him trying to distance himself from that in recent memory.

Hmmm, not bad. At roughly 350 bucks I'd be saving a bit of cash for now and I could get a second one on the cheap down the road. Ok, I'm definitely leaning towards it.
I must contemplate this on the tree of woe...
Played Fallout 3 for the first time.
I see this game still has GFWL.
You can install a mod that gets rid of it.

@clyde46: Just do it. Not only are they cool to have, but you will be enjoying games maxed out the way they were meant to be played. Meanwhile, everyone else is bitching about poor optimization.
Well, I decided against buying a "dream pc" instead going for one that I can build myself. Total is about £5000 at the moment but I can't decide on a case.
That rig looks pretty good. I have that CPU and motherboard and they are both amazing. I would suggest the h110 water cooler and for a case I have the Corsair 760T. Its a great case!

I have it, great card. It maxes everything.
The one thing holding it back is the atrocious nvidia drivers lately. They have been like one step forward, several steps back every update. I had to update to 344.65 for AC Unity and that royally fucked Wolfenstein TNO, and rolling back hasn't helped.
But I guess that's what you get with PC gaming.
So ... at work and finished most of my stuff this morning and the person below me is out til wednesday (since Thursday of last week) and I can tell by the inbox there's a tidal wave of stuff sitting waiting (thank you people who were supposed to this when she's gone also not being here). So either Wednesday or Monday will be insanity :( Damn you holidays!
Yeah, at least in December, things start feeling totally crazy with holiday madness, I consider it a good thing that I do not participate at all for Black Friday, and I don't think I really do much if anything at all for Cyber-Monday either.
Also, I am definitely ready for it to just be a new year already.
The college textbook system can go **** itself. I'm sick of paying for these materials only to be told by the professor that the newest version is required when they didn't add anything fucking new at all, it's just so I can have a working CD key for the software issued.
Higher education shouldn't have this much bullshit attached to it.
actually most of the time it's not even for special software, it's just so you can access the online learning resources which are required, it's a damn scam.

I was thinking that or the H105 as its double thick. I did look at the Swifttech H220x but no where here stocks them. Closet is a Dutch E-tailer.

my favorite were the "special editions" made for my school.
What they really did was take the original book and split it into two volumes, one for each course, and slapped my schools name on the cover

I can say working retail during the holidays BLOWS MAJOR DONKEY BUTT!!, luckily I don't have to deal with people that much while I work our inventory stock but GD the holidays need to be over fast.

The limited number of colleges near me just aren't cutting it for me, not to mention the one in the closest city in my area feels like it has some serious issues to work out, seems kinda corrupted. So, I consider it a good thing that I'm on break from college this semester.

That, or they just reorganize the chapters, and then adjust the course curriculum to match the new order.
I remember taking a class where that was the case. The course went something like Ch. 1-7, and then Ch. 15, and then Ch. 8-14, so they took a text book, reorganized the chapters to go 1-7, 15, and then 8-14, and put the school's name on it.
It was pretty cool.

One of their favorites is also to reorganize or just slightly change the end of chapter problems in new editions. luckily some professors are nice enough to provide questions for both old and new editions

Using FOSE, which has GFWL disabler in it. But thanks anyway
And Bethesda once again shows that they are lazy.

I know exactly what you mean, I'm beginning to wonder if it's even worth getting a degree with how rough it is out there in the job market. You can get laid on with student debt make it out of university and then just get stuck with bullshit jobs anyway.
I'll probably just look for work soon and finish this next semester up just so there's something for a resume to show I haven't been only jerking around, from what I understand work experience just trumps all when you have the big guy hiring internally anyway. Life is definitely not fair.

I'm sure working retail sucks bigger nuts this time of year, so maybe I shouldn't complain!

In my experience thats true to an extent but in alot of business or civil environments you'll hit a ceiling with no degree.

Everyone is different. I found both the Vita and the 3DS (either version) to be comfortable in the hands. Only the Vita was an unruly beast when it came time to transport it from one area to another. As for hardware issues or likability, I'm of the mind that I don't care about the hardware itself so long as it does what it's supposed to. And that's play games. Which it does. For upwards 8 hours a day.

Oh yeah. That's about the maximum I can squeeze out the battery on my XL. I play with 25% or less volume, brightness set at 3 tops. And to maximize my time, I close the device whenever my attention is not on it rather than leave it open (like to grab a bite to eat or check my phone).
If I could get the Vita to run for 6 hours or so, I can get more out of my XL. :P

...Technoweirdo will play games like a normal person.
In other news that you may have heard of, I was -just- wondering "Why don't they have an Etrian Odyssey with random dungeons?". A couple of hours ago, Atlus and Spike Chunsoft had the same thought.

Not sure if you mean to change your ways to maximize battery life or are calling me obsessive compulsive.
As for the news, I heard it. Honestly I was more interested in the EO5 announcement, seeing as how I disliked Mystery Dungeon in general. I'll consider it because of the crossover, but I'm not holding my breath. Give me EOU2 and EO5, and start planning EOU3 and EO6.

You may be underanalyzing the part where Technoweirdo referred to himself in 3rd person in relation to the normal person thing. >.> But if you were obsessed with battery life, you'd be playing on mute with the brightness so low you'd be better off playing the game blind. :p I still think your settings may be...unoptimal. Fake edit: My own brightness is at...3. Original 3DS, but still, what do I have to do, play at 1? For ****'s sake, I even have Wi-Fi off. >________> HOW DO I MAKE THIS THING WORK FOR ME, BROWN!?

To be fair, I play on an XL, which has proven better battery life. And my Wifi is always on.
My advice? Go to Gamestop tomorrow and buy the Persona Q special edition XL. Consider it your Xmas present to yourself and be happy.

Be happy? I'd be picking a terrible gift for myself and think myself an insensitive, unthoughtful jerk and idiot for buying a system without a game. A system, mind you, that won't let me have JP Marie in Persona Q. Nuts to the English one. While waiting for the New 3DS, I could also be getting a Wii U...
I wanted to get amiibos, but some look like disgusting pieces of plastic. But still, somehow, I'm tempted.
Damn you sheep hivemind!
