man, i think evolve is this years titanfall. incredible game, addicting gameplay and a fresh new take on multiplayer but i have a feeling the community is going to die fast. especially after they completely botched how they positioned the dlc.

I think where Titanfall lost the community for a lack of content, relatively fair, but the game was so good on its own merits is one thing. Evolve I think goes beyond just the DLC/content thing, I think the actual gameplay just doesn't have that much to it. A lot of it just looks like when you are the monster you dick around until you level up enough, and the hunters are like lets run, and run, and run, and run, and run, and run, and run, because the monster player is conservative as all hell.

So hyped for Xenoblade X The more I hear about mechs the better.

Appearantly Dolls will have HP on each individual limb, and each individual limb can be destroyed and fuel which will be determined by the engine you use. Customize your Doll, not only colours but each limb and weapons individually.

I cannot wait for giant mech vs mech fights, and decapacitating giant monsters with my mech sword. Maybe I should play some Armored Core to tone down my hype levels a bit. Anyways,

when you're the monster its all about map control. leaving footprints to misdirect hunters, luring hunters into other big monsters on the map to divide their attention and once you get to level two its super empowering because you're actually strong enough to fight the hunters back. also, the 3 monsters play drastically different. when you're the hunter, finding the monster is easy as long as your trapper knows what they're doing. there are a lot of sound cues in the environment that give you an idea how close the monster is. they basically took the best part of left 4 dead, injected it full of steroids and made a great game out of it.

Seems like Kingsman is pretty good

You don't like them? I think they're mostly cool. I mean, they're very Japanese in the way that they're completely unrealistic, but particularly Snow and Lightning have really cool designs imo.

I'm trying to learn Zbrush and it's surprisingly accessible given how people keep saying the interface is impossibly complicated and contrived (it still is). At least in this thing I actually know how to approach a project, it's like sculpting with clay. But in 3ds max and Modo I don't even know what the **** I'm supposed to do. I know how to bring in primitives and edit polygons but how do I make quick DESIGN decisions. Zbrush is better for me I guess.

Yeah, pretty much. Even though in some videos his shenanigans are a bit annoying, for the most they are fun. His old indie horror videos were pretty awesome though!

I had a lucky day when I was visiting the thrift store I work for as a customer. I found these...

-An extra Guitar Hero Wii controller (multiplayer Guitar Hero: Metallica, here I come)

-Zatch Bell volumes 1 and 3 (no two unfortunately)

-A couple Star Wars novels (a collection of novelizations of the original trilogy plus the second Jedi Academy novel, Dark Apprentice)

-Yu Yu Hakusho Volume 1

the ending and boss fight of Metal Gear Rising were both anti-climatic and terrible. Compared to Kojima's games this one don't even make the bottom of the chart. Although the combat itself was at least kind of interesting and fun.

I wasn't expecting much out of this game but still feel very disappointed.

Watched the Law & Oder gamergate episode and there's an scene that went like this:

*girl gets sexually assaulted in bathroom during some game event*

*officer comes in*

Officer: "what happened?"

Girl: "They just cant stand women in gaming"

Officer: "What did they do to you?"

This episode was way darker than I thought. The female game dev gets beaten and raped too.

Much to my sadness, there was a delay of my Monster Hunter 4 N3DS. As well as my brother's Majora's Mask N3DS. I'll have to wait until Monday.

On the plus side, this delay got me a free MH4 pin because the girl working the GS felt bad about the delay (since she was also the one who set up my order AND covered my one-day shipping using a gift card). She also promised to see about a little extra bonus come Monday to make up for it further. It's nice when the peeps working these stores value steady customers; I'd have sworn off GS completely were it not for her magnificent customer service.

Also, because of this delay, my brother went all BSOD and didn't even want to play Majora's Mask on his old 3DS. So I snatched it up for the weekend and have started playing it again. So much fun!!
